Abstract
Latar belakang: Diabetes mellitus tipe 2 adalah jenis diabetes yang paling umum terjadi, sering kali disebabkan oleh gaya hidup tidak sehat seperti obesitas, pola makan buruk, kurang aktivitas fisik, konsumsi alkohol, dan merokok. Di Indonesia, 22,3% penderita diabetes berusia antara 15 hingga 24 tahun dan pada tahun 2018 Riskesdas Provinsi Banten menunjukkan prevalensi diabetes mellitus pada kelompok usia 15 tahun ke atas adalah 2,25%, dan akan meningkat menjadi 2,43% pada 2019. Pada orang muda, terutama mahasiswa, gaya hidup dan pola makan memengaruhi status gizi mereka, salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi adalah perkembangan media sosial yang pesat memengaruhi pola konsumsi makanan, pemilihan makanan pada kalangan muda menjadi perhatian di dunia kesehatan terutama dalam hal nutrisi. Tujuan penelitian: Mengetahui hubungan antara pengaruh media sosial dengan perilaku makan berisiko diabetes mellitus pada mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Pelita Harapan. Metode penelitian: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian analitik komparatif kategorik tidak berpasangan dengan metode cross sectional pada mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Pelita Harapan yang memenuhi kriteria penelitian. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner food frequency questionare (FFQ), pengaruh media sosial terhadap perilaku makan, dan perceived stress scale questioner (PSSQ) melalui google form yang diisi oleh responden. Hasil data diolah menggunakan Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) dengan metode Chi-square. Hasil: Dari 187 responden, sebanyak 136 responden (72,7%) memiliki perilaku makan yang tidak terlalu dipengaruhi oleh media sosial, sedangkan 51 responden (27,2%) yang perilaku makannya tinggi dipengaruhi oleh media sosial. Mayoritas responden sebanyak 150 responden (80,2%) jarang mengonsumsi makanan berisiko DM dan 32 responden (17,1%) dan 5 responden (5%) sering dan sangat sering mengonsumsi makanan berisiko DM. Hasil uji bivariat menunjukan adanya hubungan yang signifikan antara pengaruh media sosial dengan perilaku makan berisiko diabetes mellitus (p value<0,001; OR 7,158; 95% CI 3,278 – 15,632). Kesimpulan: Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara pengaruh media sosial dengan perilaku makan yang berisiko diabetes mellitus pada mahasiswi Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Pelita Harapan. Referensi: 95 / Introduction: Type 2 diabetes mellitus is the most common type of diabetes, often caused by an unhealthy lifestyle such as obesity, poor diet, lack of physical activity, alcohol consumption, and smoking. In Indonesia, 22.3% of diabetes patients are aged between 15 and 24 years, and in 2018 the RISKESDAS Banten showed that the prevalence of diabetes mellitus in the age group of 15 years and older was 2.25%, and it will increase to 2.43% in 2019. Among young people, especially university students, lifestyle and diet affect their nutritional status. One factor influencing this is the rapid development of social media, which affects food consumption patterns. Food choices among young people are a concern in the health world, especially in terms of nutrition. Objectives: To understand the relationship between the influence of social media and risky eating behaviour for diabetes mellitus among students of the Faculty of Medicine at Pelita Harapan University. Methods: This is an unpaired categorical comparative analytic study with a cross-sectional method on Pelita Harapan University Faculty of Medicine students who meet the inclusion criteria. Data collection used a food frequency questionnaire (FFQ), the influence of social media on eating behavior, and a perceived stress scale questionnaire (PSSQ) through Google form filled in by respondents. The data results were processed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) with the Chi-square method. Results: Of the 187 respondents, 136 respondents (72.7%) had eating behavior that was not greatly influenced by social media, while 51 respondents (27.2%) had eating behavior that was highly influenced by social media. The majority of respondents as many as 150 respondents (80.2%) rarely consume DM-risk foods and 32 respondents (17.1%) and 5 respondents (2.7%) often and very often consume DM-risk foods. The results of the bivariate test showed a significant relationship between the influence of social media and diabetes mellitus risky eating behavior (p-value <0.001; OR 7.158; 95% CI 3.278 - 15.632). Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between the influence of social media and eating behaviours at risk diabetes mellitus among students of the Faculty of Medicine, Pelita Harapan University.
