Abstract

Adiksi game online meningkat di kalangan remaja muda berusia 17-21 tahun, yang berpotensi mempengaruhi kesehatan kardiovaskuler dan meningkatkan risiko hipertensi. Penelitian terdahulu menunjukkan adanya hubungan antara adiksi game dan gaya hidup sedentary dengan hipertensi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara adiksi game online dan hipertensi pada mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Pelita Harapan. Penelitian menggunakan desain potong lintang dengan melibatkan 141 mahasiswa yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi. Data diperoleh melalui kuesioner IGDT-10 untuk mengukur tingkat adiksi game online dan IPAQ-SF untuk menilai aktivitas fisik yang berkaitan dengan perilaku sedentary lifestyle. Tekanan darah diukur 3 kali dalam selang waktu 5 menit setelah pasien dalam kondisi tenang menggunakan sphygmomanometer dan stetoskop. Hasil analisis multivariat mendukung hipotesis nul yang menunjukkan bahwa adiksi game online tidak memiliki hubungan signifikan dengan hipertensi (p-value 0,586; OR 0,592; CI 95%: 0,090-3,900). Di lain sisi pada hasil analisis ditemukan hubungan indeks massa tubuh overweight/obese serta tidak ada riwayat hipertensi keluarga berkorelasi signifikan dengan kejadian hipertensi. Tidak ditemukan hubungan signifikan antara adiksi game online dan hipertensi. Diperlukan penelitian lebih lanjut pada populasi dengan karakteristik yang berbeda dengan variabel perancu lebih beragam. / Online game addiction is increasing among young people aged 17-21 years, which has the potential to affect cardiovascular health and increase the risk of hypertension. Previous studies have shown a relationship between game addiction and sedentary lifestyle with hypertension. This study aims to analyze the relationship between online game addiction and hypertension in students of the Faculty of Medicine, Pelita Harapan University. The study used a cross-sectional design involving 141 students who met the inclusion criteria. Data were obtained through the IGDT-10 questionnaire to measure the level of online game addiction and the IPAQ-SF to assess physical activity related to sedentary lifestyle behavior. Blood pressure was measured 3 times at 5-minute intervals after the patient was in a calm condition using a sphygmomanometer and stethoscope. The results of the multivariate analysis support the null hypothesis which shows that online game addiction has no significant relationship with hypertension (p-value 0.586; OR 0.592; 95% CI: 0.090-3.900). On the other hand, the results of the analysis found a relationship between overweight/obese body mass index and no family history of hypertension significantly correlated with the incidence of hypertension. No significant association was found between online game addiction and hypertension. Further research is needed in populations with different characteristics and more diverse confounding variables.
