Dalam dunia olahraga professional tentunya banyak terjadi komunikasi antar pemain. Dalam konteks professional latar belakang budaya pemain tentunya akan sangat beragam. Terutama liga bola basket Indonesia, IBL yang pada musim baru 2024 menghadirkan peraturan baru dengan menambah kuota pemain asing menjadi 3 dan 1 pemain Heritage. Pada penelitian ini, penliti akan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, Dengan menggunakan bebrapa teori-teori komunikasi. Teori yang digunakan peneliti adalah Intercultural Communicatian Theory dan Uncertainty Reduction Theory. Peneliti akan dating langsung ke lapangan untuk melakukan observasi Ketika tim Dewa United Latihan dan bertanding. Peneliti akan melihat bagaimana tim Dewa United berkomunikasi dan mencapai Kohesi kelompok. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah tercapainya kohesi kelompok Dewa United dan proses komunikasi yang paling efektif untuk mencapai kohesi kelompok adalah interaksi antar pemain baik didalam maupun diluar lapangan. Perbedaan negara asal dan budaya para pemain terlihat bukan menjadi masalah besar. In the world of professional sports, of course, there is a lot of communication between players. In the professional context, the cultural background of the players will certainly be very diverse. Especially the Indonesian basketball league, IBL, which in the new season 2024 presents new regulations by increasing the quota of foreign players to 3 and 1 Heritage players. Researchers will look at how Dewa United's team communicates and achieves group cohesion. The result of this study is the achievement of Dewa United group cohesion and the most effective communication process to achieve group cohesion is the interaction between players both on and off the field. Turns out the difference between the players cultural backgrounds was not to hard to overcome.
