Abstract

Indonesia-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement (IJEPA) merupakan suatu kemitraan dagang yang di sepakati oleh Indonesia dan Jepang pada 20 Agustus 2007. Dalam implementasinya IJEPA telah memberikan dampak positif bagi industri otomotif dalam negeri. Berlangsungnya kerja sama antarnegara tersebut menghasilkan beberapa kendala serta tantangan, dengan adanya suatu pasang surut ekonomi yang dialami oleh kedua negara peninjauan ulang atas regulasi yang telah disepakati menjadi jalan keluar demi meningkatkan hubungan kerja sama yang telah dibangun. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode penelitian deskriptif. Penulis menggunakan metode ini karena dalam melakukan penelitian, penulis menggunakan data-data dan informasi yang diperoleh dari data sekunder, sedangkan data sekunder yang dibutuhkan dalam penelitian ini antara lain berupa situs resmi pemerintah, website resmi, artikel jurnal, media cetak, media online dan buku-buku. Penelitian ini menyajikan sebuah kerja sama kemitraan dagang di bidang ekonomi antara Indonesia dan Jepang yang bernama Indonesia-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement. Kerja sama tercipta guna memenuhi kepentingan nasional dari masing-masing negara, yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan perekonomian negara di bidang industri manufaktur terutama pada segi otomotif. Dengan menggunakan teori Neoliberal, penelitian ini menyajikan dinamika yang terjadi di dalam perjanjian tersebut berupa kepentingan dari negara, peningkatan ekonomi negara, hingga kendala yang muncul pada perjanjian kemitraan dagang yang dibangun oleh kedua negara. Dengan membangun hubungan kerja sama internasional perjanjian tersebut dinilai dapat memperkuat hubungan baik kedua negara yang telah dibangun sekitar enam puluh satu tahun silam, USDFS dan MIDEC menjadi perhatian penting dalam penelitian ini mengingat instrumen tersebut merupakan sebuah fasilitas yang diberikan oleh kedua negara guna memperlancar kemitraan dagang yang telah disepakati. Kemudian juga dijelaskan implementasi dari kerja sama yang telah terbentuk berupa peningkatan ekonomi negara dalam sektor industri otomotif nasional. / Indonesia-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement (IJEPA) is a trading partnership that has been agreed on 20 august 2007. In the implementation IJEPA has given a positive impact for domestic automotive industries. From the partnership between Indonesia and Japan there are also problems and challenges with the economic ups and downs that is experienced by both countries, the way to solve the problem is by reviewing the regulations that has been agreed before in order to improve the established cooperative relations between Indonesia and Japan. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive research methods. The author uses this method because in conducting research, the author uses data and information obtained from secondary data, while secondary data needed in this study include government official websites, official websites, journal articles, print media, online media and books This research presents a trade partnership in the economic field between Indonesia and Japan called the Indonesia-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement. This partnership is created to meet the national interests of each country, which aims to improve the country's economy in the manufacturing industry, especially in the automotive sector. This research is using Neoliberalism Theory by presenting the dynamics that applied in the agreement of motives from the state, the improvement of the country's economy, to the obstacles that arise in the trade partnership agreement. By building international cooperation relations, the agreement is considered to be able to strengthen the good relations between the two countries that were built around sixty one years ago. USDFS and MIDEC are an important concern in this study considering the instrument is a facility provided by the two countries to facilitate an agreed trade partnership. Then it also explained the implementation of the cooperation that had been formed, namely in the form of the effectiveness of the agreement in the national automotive industry sector.
