Abstract
Kecemasan adalah salah satu masalah di mahasiswa/i Fakultas Kedokteran. Penelitian sebelumnya menunjukkan tingkat kecemasan yang signifikan selama proses penyusunan skripsi. Studi-studi terdahulu menemukan hubungan negatif antara mindfulness dan kecemasan pada remaja, namun belum ada penelitian yang secara khusus mengeksplorasi hal ini pada mahasiswa/i Fakultas Kedokteran di Universitas Pelita Harapan.
Mengetahui adanya hubungan antara tingkat mindfulness dengan tingkat kecemasan. Peneliti menggunakan desain potong lintang analitik komperatif kategorik tidak berpasangan 2 kelompok dengan sampel 204 mahasiswa/i yang menyusun skripsi di Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Pelita Harapan. Diukur menggunakan Five Faucet of Mindfulness Questionnaire (FFMQ) dan Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HARS). Data dikumpul dengan purposive sampling dan di analisa Chi-Square test menggunakan program SPSS. 204 responden, 179 memiliki mindfulness baik dan 25 memiliki mindfulness rendah. Dari 179 responden memiliki mindfulness baik, 5 kecemasan berat, 39 kecemasan ringan dan sedang, dan 135 tidak ada kecemasan. Sedangkan dari 25 mindfulness rendah, 13 kecemasan berat, 6 kecemasan ringan dan sedang, dan 6 tidak ada kecemasan (OR = 37,700, p < 0,001). Ada hubungan yang signifikan (p < 0,001) antara mindfulness dengan tingkat kecemasan pada mahasiswa/i di fakultas kedokteran Universitas Pelita Harapan. Responden dengan mindfulness rendah terdapat kemungkinan 37,7% memiliki kecemasan berat dibandingkan dengan mindfulness baik (OR = 37,700). / Anxiety is one of the issues faced by medical students. Previous research has shown significant levels of anxiety during the thesis writing process. Earlier studies have found a negative relationship between mindfulness and anxiety in Universitas Pelita Harapan. Understanding the Relationship Between Mindfulness Levels and Anxiety Levels. The researchers used an unpaired categorical comparative cross- sectional analytic design with two groups, sampling 204 students who were writing their theses at the Faculty of Medicine, Pelita Harapan University. Measurements were conducted using the Five Facet Mindfulness Questionnaire (FFMQ) and the Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HARS). Data were collected using purposive sampling and analyzed with the Chi-Square test using the SPSS program. 204 respondents, of whom 179 are mindful and 25 have low mindfulness. Out of 179 respondents with mindfulness, 5 have severe anxiety, 39 have mild to moderate anxiety, and 135 have no anxiety. Meanwhile, out of 25 respondents with low mindfulness, 13 have severe anxiety, 6 have mild to moderate anxiety, and 6 have no anxiety (OR = 37,700, p < 0.001). There is a significant relationship (p < 0.001) between mindfulness and anxiety levels among students at the Faculty of Medicine, Pelita Harapan University. Respondents with low mindfulness are 37.7% more likely to experience severe anxiety compared to those with high mindfulness (OR = 37.700).
