Abstract

Global economic stability hinges on the intricate interplay of nations that occupy pivotal roles within the international market system. When a major actor like China faces an economic slowdown, the effects extend beyond domestic boundaries, reverberating through global markets. This research seeks to examine the causes of China's economic deceleration, its connection to international market stability, and its broader implications for global economic sectors. Utilizing a descriptive qualitative approach grounded in economic liberalism theory, the study identifies that China's slowdown is driven by internal factors, including restrictive domestic policies, and exacerbated by external challenges such as geopolitical instability. China's deep integration into global trade and investment networks creates a domino effect across global economy. The resulting domino effect is evident in disrupted supply chains, fluctuating commodity prices, and declining foreign direct investment, with varying impacts across different global economic sectors. The study underscores the necessity for China to address the root causes of its slowdown to restore stable and sustainable growth. In an increasingly interconnected and complex global economy, international coordination emerges as a critical mechanism for preserving market stability. The findings underscore that economic stagnation in a major economy like China poses a serious risk to the global economic system.
