Abstract

Pendidikan merupakan faktor kunci yang memengaruhi prestasi kerja, terutama di bidang khusus seperti pemasaran. Penelitian ini mengkaji pengaruh tingkat pendidikan terhadap prestasi kerja karyawan di divisi marketing PT X, sebuah perusahaan farmasi. Menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain cross-sectional, data diperoleh dari 100 karyawan yang dipilih melalui purposive sampling. Individual Work Performance Questionnaire (IWPQ) digunakan untuk mengukur tiga dimensi prestasi kerja: task performance, contextual performance, dan counterproductive work behavior. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa tingkat pendidikan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap task performance (B = 1.109, p < 0.05) dan contextual performance (R = 0.566, p < 0.05), dengan tingkat pendidikan menjelaskan 32% variansi dalam prestasi kerja (R² = 0.320). Namun, tidak ditemukan hubungan signifikan antara tingkat pendidikan dengan counterproductive work behavior (p > 0.05). Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan yang lebih tinggi meningkatkan kemampuan menyelesaikan tugas inti serta mendukung perilaku kerja yang positif di lingkungan kerja. Penelitian ini menyoroti pentingnya keselarasan kualifikasi pendidikan dengan peran pekerjaan untuk meningkatkan produktivitas tenaga kerja. Hasilnya memberikan implikasi praktis bagi perencanaan strategis sumber daya manusia, khususnya dalam meningkatkan aspek prestasi kerja terkait tugas dan kontekstual. / Education is a key factor influencing work performance, particularly in specialized fields like marketing. This study examines the effect of educational level on work performance among employees in the marketing division of PT X, a pharmaceutical company. Using a quantitative cross-sectional approach, data were collected from 100 employees selected through purposive sampling. The Individual Work Performance Questionnaire (IWPQ) was employed to measure three dimensions of work performance: task performance, contextual performance, and counterproductive work behavior. The analysis revealed that educational level significantly influenced task performance (B = 1.109, p < 0.05) and contextual performance (R = 0.566, p < 0.05), explaining 32% of the variance in work performance (R² = 0.320). No significant relationship was found with counterproductive work behavior (p > 0.05). These findings indicate that higher educational levels improve the ability to execute core tasks and foster supportive workplace behaviors. This study highlights the importance of aligning educational qualifications with job roles to enhance workforce productivity. The results offer practical implications for strategic human resource planning, especially in improving task-related and contextual work performance.
