Abstract
Employees are a group of individuals with the necessary skills and qualities to support the achievement of organizational targets. Beyond just qualifications, companies require employees who are actively engaged or have a strong work engagement to contribute maximally and deliver optimal results. Jakarta, being a highly stressful city, and the sales and marketing profession, which is also highly demanding, provide a focus on how flourishing affects work engagement. Therefore, the aim of this study was to examine the influence of flourishing on work engagement among young adult employees (aged 20-40) in Jakarta. The research is a quantitative research with correlational study designed with linear regression analysis. A total of 209 participants took part in this study were collected through convenience sampling. The results showed that flourishing had a significant influence of 60.9% with a strong positive correlation (r=0.780) on work engagement. Future research is recommended to include additional variables such as organizational culture, utilize simplified Likert scales and adopt alternative methods like interviews or qualitative approaches. Furthermore, analyzing spesific industrial sectors or participants' educational backgrounds could provide a more comphrehensive understanding of the dynamics influencing work engagement / Karyawan adalah sekelompok individu yang memiliki kemampuan dan kualitas untuk mendukung pencapaian target organisasi. Selain kualitas, organisasi membutuhkan karyawan yang terlibat secara aktif atau memiliki work engagement agar dapat memberikan kontribusi yang maksimal dan hasil yang optimal. Jakarta merupakan salah satu kota dengan tingkat stres tinggi dan profesi sales & marketing yang juga penuh tekanan dalam pekerjaan menjadi fokus bagaimana flourishing berpengaruh terhadap work engagement. Dengan demikian, tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat pengaruh flourishing terhadap work engagement pada karyawan usia dewasa muda (20-40 tahun) di Jakarta. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain korelatif yang menggunakan teknik analisis regresi linear. Jumlah karyawan dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 209 karyawan yang diperoleh menggunakan convenience sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa flourishing memiliki pengaruh signifikan sebesar 60.9% dengan korelasi positif kuat (r=0.780). Penelitian selanjutnya disarankan untuk memasukkan variabel tambahan seperti budaya organisasi, menggunakan skala Likert yang lebih sederhana dan menerapkan pendekatan alternatif seperti wawancara atau metode kualitatif. Selain itu, analisis berdasarkan sektor industri dan latar belakang pendidikan dari karyawan juga dapat memberikan wawasan yang lebih komphrehensif terkait dinamika work engagement.
