Abstract

This study aims to examine the correlation between the frequency of church attendance and religious group activity with the well-being of elderly congregants at GPdI Ketapang, Central Jakarta. This research is motivated by the increasing number of elderly people in Indonesia, which requires special attention, starting from social insitution in society, one of which is the church. The method use in this study use is a quantitive research method with a correlational design, involving 76 elderly people (40 women and 36 men) aged 60 – 89 years. The result of the analysis showed that there was no statistically significant positive correlation between the frequency of church attendance and religious group activity with the well-being of elderly congregants at GPdI Ketapang. Others factors outside of religious activities need to be considered to improve the well being of elderly. / Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan antara frekuensi beribadah dan keaktifan dalam pelayanan dengan kesejahteraan jemaat lansia di GPdI Ketapang, Jakarta Pusat. Hal ini didasari oleh peningkatan jumlah penduduk lansia di Indonesia yang perlu menjadi perhatian khusus, dimulai dari lembaga sosial dalammasyarakat, salah satunya ialah gereja. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional, yang melibatkan 76 orang lansia. (40 wanita dan 36 pria) yang berusia 60-89 tahun. Hasil analisis menunjukkan tidak adanya korelasi positif yang signifikan secara statistik antara frekuensi beribadah dan keaktifan dalam pelayanan dengan well being pada lansia di GPdI Ketapang. Faktor-faktor lain diluar kegiatan keagamaanperlu menjadi pertimbangan untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan pada lansia.
