Kasus korupsi 271T timah yang terjadi di Bangka telah menjadi perbincangan masyarakat Indonesia bahkan hingga menjadi lelucon karena nominal kerugiannya yang cukup besar. Kasus korupsi 271T timah ini juga menjadi perbincangan masyarakat karena banyaknya media yang menyebarkan berita kasus ini, salah satunya yaitu media sosial instagram Bangka Pos yang aktif menyebarkan berita terbaru dari kasus korupsi timah ini. Gen Z sendiri seringkali dianggap apatis terhadap isu-isu sosial yang ada disekitar mereka karena mereka tumbuh dan bergantung dengan penggunaan teknologi yang canggih. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat bagaimana resepsi Gen Z Bangka terhadap berita kasus korupsi 271T timah pada media sosial instagram Bangka Pos. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori resepsi yang dikemukakan oleh Stuart Hall dengan metode penelitian yaitu pendekatan kualitatif. Teori resepsi Stuart Hall membagi khalayak ke dalam tiga posisi yaitu posisi hegemonik-dominan, posisi yang dinegosiasikan, dan posisi oposisional. Peneliti menggunakan observasi dan wawancara mendalam dengan lima informan sebagai teknik pengumpulan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dua informan berada pada posisi hegemonik-dominan dan tiga informan lainnya berada pada posisi yang dinegosiasikan. Selain itu juga, Gen Z Bangka ditemukan tidak apatis terhadap isu kasus korupsi timah ini karena melihat dari respon yang diberikan oleh Gen Z Bangka./The 271T tin corruption case that occurred in Bangka has become a topic of discussion among Indonesian people and has even become a joke because the nominal losses were quite large. The 271T tin corruption case has also become a topic of public discussion because many media are spreading news about this case, one of which is the Bangka Pos Instagram social media which is actively spreading the latest news about this tin corruption case. Gen Z themselves are often considered apathetic about the social issues around them because they grew up and depended on the use of sophisticated technology. The purpose of this study is to see how Bangka's Gen Z reception to the news of the 271T tin corruption case on the Bangka Pos Instagram social media. This study uses the reception theory proposed by Stuart Hall using a qualitative research approach. Stuart Hall's reception theory categorizes audiences into three positions: hegemonic-dominant positions, negotiated positions, and oppositional positions. The researcher used observation and in-depth interviews with five informants as data collection techniques. The study results showed that two informants were in hegemonic-dominant positions and three other informants were in negotiated positions. Futhermore, Gen Z Bangka was found not to be apathetic towards the issue of the tin corruption case, as reflected in their responses to the case.
