Abstract

The overtime policy in the company has an impact on employees so that employees will go home beyond the standard working hours in general, which is directly related to the decline in health to the decline in life well-being. Subjective well-being is needed for individuals to have a good experience with job satisfaction so that it helps assess their lives better and feel happiness. Subjective well-being has a relationship with the concept of work-life-balance owned by an employee which is defined as a person's ability to manage stability, between work and personal life so that it remains dynamic between life at work and maintaining a harmonious home life. Therefore, this study was conducted to see if there is a relationship between work-life balance and subjective well-being by using quantitative methods and getting 142 participants. The measuring instruments used were work-life balance scale, satisfaction with life scale, and positive affect negative affect schedule. The result of this study is that there is no relationship between work-life balance and subjective well-being in company X employees./Kebijakan overtime pada perusahaan berdampak pada karyawan sehingga karyawan akan pulang melebihi standar jam kerja pada umumnya yang berhubungan langsung dengan menurunnya kesehatan hingga menurunnya kesejahteraan hidup. Subjective well-being dibutuhkan untuk individu memiliki pengalaman yang baik dengan kepuasan kerja sehingga membantu menilai hidup mereka dengan lebih baik dan merasakan kebahagiaan. Subjective well-being memiliki hubungan dengan konsep work life-balance yang dimiliki oleh seorang karyawan yang dimana diartikan sebagai kemampuan seseorang untuk mengatur stabilitas, antara pekerjaan dan kehidupan pribadi sehingga tetap dinamis antara kehidupan di tempat kerja dan mempertahankan kehidupan rumah tangga yang harmonis. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini dilakukan untuk melihat apakah terdapat hubungan antara work-life balance dengan subjective well-being dengan menggunakan metode kuantitatif dan mendapatkan 142 partisipan. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah work-life balance scale, satisfaction with life scale, dan positif affect negatif affect schedule. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah tidak terdapat hubungan antara work-life balance terhadap subjective well-being pada karyawan perusahaan X.
