Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh self-compassion terhadap hopelessness pada Mahasiswa Perantau di Pulau Jawa. Self-Compassion dijelaskan sebagai kemampuan individu untuk bersikap baik kepada diri sendiri saat mengalami kesulitan, kegagalan, atau rasa sakit, sedangkan hopelessness digambarkan sebagai perasaan putus asa dan ketidakmampuan untuk melihat masa depan dengan lebih baik. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain kuantitatif dengan pendekatan korelasional dan regresi. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa self-compassion memiliki korelasi negatif yang signifikan terhadap hopelessness dari 141 partisipan penelitian (r = -.658, p<.001), mengindikasikan bahwa semakin tinggi tingkat self-compassion, maka tingkat hopelessness semakin rendah. Analisis regresi menunjukkan bahwa self-compassion mampu memprediksi penurunan hopelessness sebesar 43.3% dengan koe. -15.422, yang kemudian menjelaskan bahwa terdapat pengaruh negatif yang signifikan antara self-compassion terhadap hopelessness mahasiswa perantau di Pulau Jawa, dimana untuk peningkatan satu unit self-compassion pada mahasiswa, maka perasaan putus asa diperkirakan akan berkurang sebesar 15.422./ This study aims to determine the effect of self-compassion on hopelessness in Migrant Students in Java. Self-Compassion is described as an individual's ability to think well of themselves when experiencing difficulties, failures, or pain, while despair is described as a feeling of hopelessness and the inability to see the future better. This study used a quantitative design with a correlational and regression approach. The results showed that self-compassion had a significant negative correlation with hopelessness from 141 research participants (r = -.658, p <.001), indicating that the higher the level of self-compassion, the lower the level of hopelessness. Regression analysis showed that self-compassion was able to predict a decrease in hopelessness by 43.3% with a coe. -15.422, which then explained that there was a significant negative effect between self-compassion and the hopelessness of migrant students in Java, where for an increase in one unit of self-compassion in students, the sense of hopelessness is estimated to decrease by 15.422.
