Abstract

Keadaan saat seseorang tidak dapat memenuhi tuntutan akademik sehingga muncul perasaan negatif seperti tertekan dan kecemasan disebut sebagai stres akademik. Perasaan negatif tersebut rentan terjadi kepada mahasiswa tingkat akhir yang sedang mengerjakan skripsi, dikarenakan mahasiswa dapat dihadapkan oleh kesulitan-kesulitan yang muncul dan jika mahasiswa tidak dapat mengatasi kesulitan tersebut, maka mahasiswa dapat merasa stres. Oleh karena itu, mahasiswa perlu strategi dalam mengatasi stres dan salah satunya adalah dengan memiliki sense of coherence (koherensi diri). Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh sense of coherence terhadap stres akademik dengan metode penelitian kuantitatif dan mendapatkan 92 partisipan. Alat ukur pada penelitian ini adalah Sense of Coherence (SOC-13) dan Student-Life Stress Inventory (SLSI). Penelitian ini mendapatkan hasil bahwa terdapat pengaruh Sense of Coherence dan Stres Akademik sebesar 18,3%./The state in which an individual is unable to meet academic demands, resulting in negative feelings such as pressure and anxiety, is referred to academic stress. These negative feelings are particularly tend to occur among final-year university students working on their bachelor’s thesis, as they often face difficulties. If these challenges cannot be overcome, students may experience stress. Therefore, university students need strategies to manage stress, one of them is developing a sense of coherence. This study aims to examine the effect of sense of coherence on academic stress using a quantitative research method and involving 92 participants. The instruments used in this study are the Sense of Coherence (SOC-13) and the Student-Life Stress Inventory (SLSI). The results of the study show that the sense of coherence influences academic stress by 18.3%.
