Abstract

Modul pembelajaran berbasis STEM-TPACK berbasis web pada materi alkohol dan senyawa karbonil ditujukan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa Pendidikan Biologi 2023 Universitas Y yang sejalan dengan capaian lulusan menjadi agen perubahan dalam sistem pendidikan, mendorong pendekatan interdisiplin dalam pengajaran Biologi dan Kimia yang relevan dengan tantangan global seperti perubahan iklim, ketahanan pangan, dan kesehatan masyarakat di era digital dan industri 4.0 untuk kehidupan berkelanjutan. Modul ini dirancang dalam konteks blended learning, menggabungkan pembelajaran sinkron dan asinkron melalui platform LMS Moodle untuk memastikan aksesibilitas dan keterlibatan aktif peserta didik. Pemahaman sepanjang hayat yang ditekankan dalam pembelajaran ini adalah bahwa ilmu kimia, sebagai anugerah Tuhan, harus dimanfaatkan secara bertanggung jawab untuk memuliakan-Nya dan mendukung keberlanjutan lingkungan, misalnya melalui konsep reaksi alkohol dan senyawa karbonil dalam pembuatan biodiesel dari minyak jelantah sebagai solusi energi terbarukan. Strategi pembelajaran menggunakan pendekatan Project-Based Learning (PjBL) yang terintegrasi dengan komponen STEM, sehingga mahasiswa diajak untuk mengidentifikasi masalah, menganalisis data, merancang eksperimen, menarik kesimpulan, dan merefleksikan hasil secara sistematis. Hasil belajar menunjukkan bahwa peserta didik mampu menguasai konsep dasar senyawa organik, memahami reaksi transesterifikasi, dan mengaplikasikan pengetahuan dalam proyek pembuatan biodiesel, disertai peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kolaborasi. Penerapan desain pembelajaran ini mengidentifikasi perlunya peningkatan penggunaan fitur interaktif pada LMS, penyesuaian asesmen formatif untuk evaluasi yang lebih komprehensif, serta penguatan keterlibatan mahasiswa dalam setiap tahap pembelajaran untuk memastikan pemahaman yang mendalam dan berkelanjutan./The web-based STEM-TPACK learning module on alcohol and carbonyl compounds is designed to enhance the critical thinking skills of students in the 2023 Biology Education Program, aligning with the graduate outcomes to become change agents in the education system. This module encourages an interdisciplinary approach to teaching Biology and Chemistry, addressing global challenges such as climate change, food security, and public health in the digital era and Industry 4.0 for sustainable living. The module is designed within a blended learning context, combining synchronous and asynchronous learning through the LMS Moodle platform to ensure accessibility and active engagement of students. The enduring understanding emphasised in this lesson is that chemistry, as a gift from God, must be used responsibly to glorify Him and support environmental sustainability, for example through the concept of alcohol and carbonyl compound reactions in making biodiesel from used cooking oil as a renewable energy solution. The learning strategy uses the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) approach integrated with STEM components, guiding students to identify problems, analyze data, design experiments, draw conclusions, and systematically reflect on results. The learning outcomes show that students are able to master the fundamental concepts of organic compounds, understand transesterification reactions, and apply knowledge in biodiesel production projects, accompanied by an improvement in critical thinking and collaboration skills. Reflections on the implementation of this learning process highlight the need to enhance the use of interactive features on the LMS, adjust formative assessments for a more comprehensive evaluation, and strengthen student involvement in each learning stage to ensure a deeper and sustainable understanding.
