Abstract

Stres merupakan faktor penting yang dapat memengaruhi fungsi kognitif. Mahasiswa/i kedokteran sering menghadapi tekanan akademis yang tinggi, yang dapat meningkatkan risiko penurunan fungsi kognitif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara tingkat stres dengan fungsi kognitif pada mahasiswa/i pre-klinik Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Pelita Harapan. Penelitian dilakukan dengan desain potong lintang menggunakan kuesioner Perceived Stress Scale (PSS-10) untuk mengukur tingkat stres dan Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA) untuk fungsi kognitif. Responden penelitian adalah 85 mahasiswa/i pre-klinik Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Pelita Harapan yang dipilih melalui purposive sampling. Mayoritas responden berada pada tingkat stres sedang (60%) dengan prevalensi penurunan fungsi kognitif sebesar 48,2%. Analisis data menunjukkan adanya hubungan signifikan antara tingkat stres dan fungsi kognitif (p = 0,028), dengan individu yang mengalami stres ringan dan sedang memiliki peluang 3,522 kali lebih tinggi mengalami penurunan fungsi kognitif dibandingkan stres berat. Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara tingkat stres dan fungsi kognitif pada mahasiswa/i pre-klinik. Mahasiswa dengan tingkat stres yang lebih tinggi memiliki risiko lebih besar untuk mengalami penurun kognitif. / Stress is an important factor that can affect cognitive function. Medical students often face high academic pressure, which may increase the risk of impaired cognitive function. This study aims to determine the relationship between stress levels and cognitive function in pre-clinical students of the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Pelita Harapan. The study was conducted with a cross-sectional design using the Perceived Stress Scale (PSS-10) questionnaire to measure stress levels and the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA) for cognitive function. The respondents were 85 pre-clinical students of the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Pelita Harapan who were selected through purposive sampling. The majority of respondents were at a moderate stress level (60%) with a prevalence of cognitive impairment of 48.2%. Data analysis showed a significant relationship between stress levels and cognitive function (p = 0.028), with individuals experiencing mild and moderate stress having a 3,522 times higher chance of experiencing cognitive impairment than severe stress. There is a significant relationship between stress level and cognitive function in pre-clinical students. Students with higher stress levels have a greater risk of experiencing cognitive impairment.
