Abstract

Tulisan ini membahas tentang penerapan pembelajaran berbasis masalah pada mata pelajaran Ekonomi kelas XI unit Indeks harga dan inflasi di suatu sekolah Kristen di Jawa Barat. Topik Indeks harga dan inflasi membawa siswa pada pemahaman sepanjang hayat bahwa manusia sebagai gambar dan rupa Allah juga diberikan kemampuan untuk menyikapi kenaikan harga yang terjadi secara terus menerus dengan bijaksana sebagai bentuk tanggung jawab atas sumber daya ekonomi yang Allah berikan dan untuk menyatakan kasih kepada sesama. Strategi pembelajaran yang diterapkan pada topik ini adalah pembelajaran berbasis masalah. Pembelajaran berbasis masalah merupakan strategi pembelajaran yang mengorientasikan murid pada realitas masalah di sekitarnya dan pemecahan masalah. Melalui penerapan pembelajaran berbasis masalah kemampuan berpikir kritis murid dapat ditingkatkan. Kemampuan berpikir kritis diperlukan untuk dapat menyikapi kenaikan harga dengan tepat. Hasil belajar murid menunjukkan bahwa dari 19 murid, 17 di antaranya berhasil mencapai skor dengan kriteria lulus. Penilaian yang dilakukan tersebut dikondisikan sedemikian rupa sehingga untuk menyelesaikannya murid perlu melakukan serangkaian kemampuan kognitif yang digunakan pada berpikir kritis. Agar penerapan pembelajaran berbasis masalah dapat berlangsung dengan lebih baik maka diperlukan perencanaan-perencanaan yang lebih detail seperti memberikan masalah yang relevan demikian juga pembelajaran perlu dilakukan dengan lebih kreatif./This article discusses the application of problem-based learning in the Class XI Economics subject, price index and inflation unit at a Christian school in West Java. The topic of price index and inflation brings students to a lifelong understanding that humans as the image and likeness of God are also given the ability to respond to continuous price increases with wisdom as a form of responsibility for the economic resources that God has given and to express love for others. The learning strategyapplied to this topic is problem-based learning. Problem-based learning is a learning strategy that orients students to the reality of problems around them and problem solving. Through the application of problem based learning, students' critical thinking abilities can be improved. Critical thinking skills are needed to respond appropriately to price increases. Student learning results show that of the 19 students, 17 of them managed to achieve a score that meets the pass criteria. The assessment carried out is conditioned in such a way that to complete it students needto carry out a series of cognitive skills used in critical thinking. So that the implementation of problem-based learning can take place better, more detailed planning is needed, such as providing relevant problems so that learning needs to be done more creatively.
