Abstract
Pempek, hidangan asli dari Palembang, telah menjadi pilihan favorit masyarakat Indonesia. Merek Pempek CW, yang menggunakan ikan belida sebagai bahan baku utama, berencana melakukan ekspansi bisnis. Makalah ini mengadopsi pendekatan perancangan ulang identitas visual dan kemasan Pempek CW berdasarkan metodologi Alina Wheeler yang melibatkan lima fase utama: conducting research, clarifying strategy, designing identity, creating touchpoints, dan managing assets. Langkah ini mencakup studi kasus mendalam terkait aspek-aspek kunci merek Pempek CW, termasuk riset pasar dan analisis identitas visual dan kemasan merek yang sudah ada. Setelah melakukan riset, telah dilakukan perancangan ulang identitas visual dan kemasan Pempek CW dengan tujuan menciptakan visual merek yang lebih profesional, serta mencerminkan autentisitas dan kualitas merek. Melalui perancangan ulang ini, makalah bertujuan memberikan wawasan berharga untuk mendukung pengembangan merek Pempek CW, memperkuat posisi mereka dalam pasar makanan yang kompetitif, dan merespons rencana ekspansi bisnis mereka. / Pempek, a traditional dish from Palembang, has become a favorite choice among Indonesian people. The brand Pempek CW, which uses belida fish as its main ingredient, is planning to expand its business. This paper adopts the approach of redesigning the visual identity and packaging of Pempek CW based on Alina Wheeler's methodology, involving five main phases: conducting research, clarifying strategy, designing identity, creating touchpoints, and managing assets. This process includes an in-depth case study addressing key aspects of the Pempek CW brand, such as market research and an analysis of its existing visual identity and packaging. Following the research phase, the visual identity and packaging of Pempek CW have been redesigned to create a more professional brand image while reflecting the authenticity and quality of the brand. Through this rebranding effort, this paper aims to provide valuable insights to support the development of the Pempek CW brand, strengthen its position in the competitive food market, and address its business expansion plans.
