Abstract

Industri kendaraan listrik di Indonesia mengalami pertumbuhan yang signifikan dalam beberapa tahun terakhir seiring dengan meningkatnya minat masyarakat terhadap kendaraan yang ramah lingkungan dan hemat energi. Namun, industri ini juga menghadapi sejumlah tantangan, termasuk keterbatasan infrastruktur pengisian daya serta regulasi yang ketat terkait adopsi kendaraan listrik. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan untuk menguji dan menganalisis pengaruh variabel personal traits, technology readiness, consumer attitude towards electric vehicle, dan perceived consumer effectiveness terhadap electric vehicle purchase intention di Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui penyebaran kuesioner menggunakan metode nonprobability dengan teknik purposive sampling. Sampel yang diambil untuk penelitian ini adalah 101 responden. Data dianalisis menggunakan structured equation modelling-partial least square (PLS-SEM) dengan software SmartPLS4. Dalam penelitian ini terdapat dua hipotesis didukung dan empat hipotesis tidak didukung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh positif antara personal traits terhadap Electric vehicle purchase intention dan technology readiness terhadap Consumer attitude Towards Electric Vehicle. Namun, tidak terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara personal trait terhadap Consumer attitude Towards Electric Vehicle, Technological readiness terhadap Electric vehicle purchase intention, Perceived consumer effectiveness x Consumer attitude Towards Electric Vehicle terhadap Electric vehicle purchase intention, dan Consumer attitude Towards Electric Vehicle terhadap Electric vehicle purchase intention Penelitian ini memberikan implikasi teoritis, manajerial, serta rekomendasi untuk penelitian lebih lanjut. / The electric vehicle (EV) industry in Indonesia has experienced significant growth in recent years, driven by increasing public interest in environmentally friendly and energy-efficient vehicles. However, the industry also faces several challenges, such as limited charging infrastructure and strict regulations regarding EV adoption. This study aims to examine and analyze the influence of variables such as personal traits, technology readiness, consumer attitude towards electric vehicles, and perceived consumer effectiveness on electric vehicle purchase intention in Indonesia. This research employs a quantitative approach, collecting data through questionnaires using a nonprobability sampling method with purposive sampling. The sample size for this study was 101 respondents. Data were analyzed using structural equation modeling-partial least square (PLS-SEM) with the SmartPLS4 software. In this study, two hypotheses were supported, while four hypotheses were not. The results show a positive influence of personal traits on electric vehicle purchase intention and technology readiness on consumer attitudes towards electric vehicles. However, there was no significant influence between personal traits and consumer attitude towards electric vehicles, technological readiness on electric vehicle purchase intention, perceived consumer effectiveness on consumer attitude towards electric vehicles, and consumer attitude towards electric vehicles on electric vehicle purchase intention. This study provides theoretical and managerial implications, as well as recommendations for further research.
