This research examines various factors that contribute to failure in entrepreneurship, especially in the Jabodetabek area. This research also makes a comparison regarding the differences in factors that cause entrepreneurial failure in female and male entrepreneurs. The aim is to find out clearly the differences and similarities in the factors that cause entrepreneurial failure between male entrepreneurs and female entrepreneurs. This research is a quantitative type of research, with an associative and comparative design, the number of samples obtained was 168 women and 174 men, the data analysis technique used was PLS-SEM. The results of data processing found that for female entrepreneurs, deterministic factors and voluntaristic factors have a significant and positive influence on entrepreneurial failure, but emotive factors and opportunistic behavior do not have a significant influence on entrepreneurial failure. Meanwhile, for male entrepreneurs, it was found that all independent variables had a significant and positive influence on entrepreneurial failure. Therefore, it can be concluded that in contrast to the general view, female entrepreneurs have better emotional control than men and have a lower chance of getting a high-paying job, thus causing emotive factors and opportunity behavior to have no effect on entrepreneurialism. failure.
