Abstract
Dukungan modal dari investor merupakan faktor yang perlu diperhatikan untuk pengembangan perusahaan, namun risiko geopolitik dapat mendorong investor untuk menjual saham sehingga manajer memerlukan dorongan untuk dapat mempertahankan posisi investor, salah satunya dengan meningkatkan dividen yang akan dibayarkan. Penelitian ini mengkaji pengaruh risiko geopolitik terhadap kebijakan dividen. Penelitian ini dilakukan secara kuantitatif terhadap 693 perusahaan dari periode 2014-2023, data tidak seimbang dengan total observasi data sebanyak 4.757. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa risiko geopolitik berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kebijakan dividen pada perusahaan di Indonesia. / Capital support from investors is a factor that needs to be considered for the development of the company, but geopolitical risk can encourage investors to sell shares so that managers need encouragement to be able to maintain investor positions, one of which is by increasing the dividends to be paid. This study examines the effect of geopolitical risk on dividend policy. This study was conducted quantitatively on 693 companies from the period 2014-2023, unbalanced data with a total data sample of 4,757. The results of the study indicate that geopolitical risk has a significant effect on dividend policy in companies in Indonesia.
