Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of grit on job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and nurse performance, as well as the effect of grit on nurse performance mediated by job satisfaction and organizational commitment. The study adopts a quantitative descriptive approach with a cross-sectional design. Data were collected through a survey method using a questionnaire, and the sample was purposively selected, consisting of 230 nurses working at RS XYZ, South Sumatra. Data processing and analysis were conducted using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with the assistance of SmartPLS software. The results indicate that grit has a positive and significant direct effect on job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and nurse performance. The study also demonstrates that grit positively and significantly influences nurse performance, partially mediated by job satisfaction, while organizational commitment shows an insignificant effect in mediating the relationship between grit and nurse performance. The managerial implications of this study suggest the need for evaluation the factors that improve nurse performance at RS XYZ, South Sumatra. / Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh grit terhadap kepuasan kerja, komitmen organisasi dan kinerja perawat serta pengaruh grit terhadap kinerja perawat yang dimediasi oleh kepuasan kerja dan komitmen organisasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian crosssectional. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui metode survei menggunakan kuesioner, dan sampel penelitian dipilih secara purposive dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 230 perawat yang bekerja di RS XYZ, Sumatera Selatan. Pengolahan dan analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode Partial Least Squares– Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) dengan bantuan SmartPLS software. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa grit secara langsung berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja, komitmen organisasi dan kinerja perawat. Temuan penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa grit berpengaruh secara positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja perawat, yang dimediasi secara parsial oleh kepuasan kerja, sedangkan komitmen organisasi tidak signifikan dalam memediasi hubungan antara grit dan kinerja perawat. Implikasi manajerial dari penelitian ini terhadap kinerja perawat di RS XYZ, Sumatra Selatan, adalah diperlukan evaluasi terhadap faktor-faktor yang mendorong peningkatan kinerja perawat.
