Abstract

Orang Tua (OT) faces challenges with Wafer Tango, its leading wafer brand, which has seen its market share drop from 43.3% in 2020 to 37% in 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic and strong competition. To retain its position, Wafer Tango should expand its product range, enhance promotions, and focus on understanding consumer preferences to create effective marketing strategies. Product diversity involves providing customers with various options based on cost, size, shape, packaging, and unique features. Sales promotion showcases a product's benefits and pricing to attract customers. Consumer preference reflects satisfaction with a product after use, while purchase decision refers to how individuals or groups select and acquire products to meet their needs. The method used in this study is a quantitative research design using the instrument SPSS V. 25. The writer used a descriptive and causal approach. The research was conducted on a sample of 96 people using purposive sampling. This research successfully passed the validity, reliability, normality, multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity, and multiple linear regression tests. The regression equation is: Purchase Decision = 1.684 + 0.433 Product Diversity + 0.210 Sales Promotion + 0.193 Customer Preference. Hypothesis testing shows that partially and simultaneously product diversity, sales promotion, and customer preference has a significant influence towards wafer Tango’s customer purchase decision. It can be suggested that Wafer Tango can improve customer purchase decision by improving its product diversity, sales promotion, and customer preference./ Orang Tua (OT) menghadapi tantangan dengan Wafer Tango, merek wafer terkemuka, yang telah mengalami penurunan pangsa pasar dari 43,3% pada tahun 2020 menjadi 37% pada tahun 2022 karena pandemi COVID-19 dan persaingan yang ketat. Untuk mempertahankan posisinya, Wafer Tango harus memperluas jangkauan produknya, meningkatkan promosi, dan fokus pada pemahaman preferensi konsumen untuk menciptakan strategi pemasaran yang efektif. Diversifikasi produk melibatkan penyediaan berbagai pilihan kepada pelanggan berdasarkan biaya, ukuran, bentuk, kemasan, dan fitur unik. Promosi penjualan menunjukkan manfaat dan harga produk untuk menarik pelanggan. Preferensi konsumen mencerminkan kepuasan terhadap produk setelah digunakan, sedangkan keputusan pembelian merujuk pada cara individu atau kelompok memilih dan memperoleh produk untuk memenuhi kebutuhan mereka. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah desain penelitian kuantitatif menggunakan instrumen SPSS V. 25. Penulis menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif dan kausal. Penelitian dilakukan pada sampel 96 orang dengan menggunakan pengambilan sampel non acak sederhana. Penelitian ini berhasil melewati uji validitas, reliabilitas, normalitas, multikolinearitas, heteroskedastisitas, dan uji regresi linier berganda. Persamaan regresi adalah: Keputusan Pembelian = 1.684 + 0.433 Diversifikasi Produk + 0.210 Promosi Penjualan + 0.193 Preferensi Konsumen. Uji hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa secara parsial dan simultan, diversifikasi produk, promosi penjualan, dan preferensi konsumen berpengaruh signifikan terhadap keputusan pembelian di Wafer Tango. Dapat disarankan bahwa Wafer Tango dapat meningkatkan keputusan pembelian konsumen dengan memperbaiki diversifikasi produk, promosi penjualan, dan preferensi konsumen.
