Abstract
This study examines the impact of BRI investment on economic growth in Bandung Regency, with a focus on the Indonesia-China High-Speed Rail (KCIC) Project. The aim of the research is to analyze the contribution of BRI investment in driving regional economic growth and identify the factors influencing this impact. The approach used is qualitative, employing liberalism theory to analyze the relationship between foreign investment and economic growth. This research relies on secondary data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Bandung Regency and the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), as well as primary data collected through interviews with officials from the Ministry of Economic Affairs, the Head of the Department of Trade and Tourism of Bandung Regency. The findings indicate that BRI investment through the KCIC Project has made a significant contribution to local infrastructure development, job creation, and the enhancement of the tourism sector. Furthermore, the project has strengthened the bilateral relationship between Indonesia and China. However, the study also reveals challenges in ensuring the equitable distribution of benefits, particularly for the local community, and highlights the need for closer collaboration between the government, private sector, and society. / Penelitian ini mengkaji dampak investasi BRI terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi di Kabupaten Bandung, dengan fokus pada Proyek Kereta Cepat Indonesia-Cina (KCIC). Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk menganalisis kontribusi investasi BRI dalam mendorong pertumbuhan ekonomi daerah, serta mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi dampak tersebut. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kualitatif, dengan menggunakan teori liberalisme untuk menganalisis hubungan antara investasi asing dan pertumbuhan ekonomi. Metode penelitian ini mengandalkan data sekunder yang diperoleh dari Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) Kabupaten Bandung dan Badan Koordinasi Penanaman Modal (BKPM), serta data primer yang dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dengan pejabat Kemenko Perekonomian, Kepala Dinas Perdagangan dan Pariwisata Kabupaten Bandung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa investasi BRI melalui Proyek KCIC memberikan kontribusi signifikan terhadap pengembangan infrastruktur lokal, penciptaan lapangan kerja, dan peningkatan sektor pariwisata. Selain itu, proyek ini memperkuat hubungan bilateral antara Indonesia dan Tiongkok. Namun, penelitian juga menemukan adanya tantangan dalam pemerataan manfaat investasi, terutama bagi masyarakat lokal, serta kebutuhan kolaborasi lebih erat antara pemerintah, sektor swasta, dan masyarakat.
