Abstract
Based on pre- observation class it was identified that students lacked discipline. This study aims at using classroom guidelines to increase grade VII students discipline in the learning of science. The research was held on 21th July to 22nd November 2009/2010 academic year with the subject of fourteen students in one of the school located in Sentul City. The design of this study is classroom action research by consisting three cycles. Instruments for data gathering are pre observations, observation of teaching and learning process, teacher mentor feedback, interview and writer reflection. The result of the study indicated that by using classroom guidelines, students discipline increased. Hopefully the result of this research would be beneficial for science teacher and for further study.

Berdasarkan hasil pra-observasi, diidentifikasi kurangnya disiplin di dalam kelas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan disiplin siswa kelas VII dalam pembelajaran science dengan menggunakan classroom guidelines. Penelitian ini diadakan pada tanggal 21 Juli sampai 22 November tahun akademik 2009/2010 dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak empat belas orang di dalam suatu sekolah yang terletak di Sentul. Penelitian ini berupa penelitian tindakan kelas dengan menggunakan tiga siklus. Dalam pengumpulan data, instrumen yang digunakan adalah observasi dokumen di dalam proses belajar mengajar, umpan balik dari mentor, wawancara dan jurnal refleksi penulis. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan disiplin siswa dengan menggunakan metode classroom guidelines. Diharapkan hasil dari penelitian ini dapat berguna untuk guru sains dan penelitian lanjutan.
