Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan pembelajaran aktif dalam pembelajaran biologi kelas IX, serta untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan pembelajaran aktif terhadap motivasi belajar siswa. Desain penelitian merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan dua siklus. Analisa data menggunakan analisa kualitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas IX yang berjumlah 28 orang pada salah satu SMP swasta di Jawa Timur. Adapun instrumen penelitian yang digunakan yaitu observasi, jurnal refleksi, lesson plan, dan feedback mentor. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode ini dapat diterapkan dalam pembelajaran Biologi. Hal ini karena pada saat pembelajaran aktif diterapkan di kelas IX, para siswa secara antusias mengikuti pembelajaran dan memberikan respon yang positif. Serta, melalui penerapan pembelajaran aktif pada pembelajaran biologi dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa. Hal ini terlihat dari pemenuhan indikator motivasi belajar siswa setelah penerapan pembelajaran aktif. / This study aims to determine the application in active learning of XI-class biology lesson, and to know the effect of applying active learning to students’ learning motivation. Design research is a Class- Action Research (CAR/ PTK) with two cycles. Analysis of data using qualitative analysis. Research subjects were students of class IX numbered 28 people in one private middle school in East Java. The research instruments used are observation, journal of reflection, mentor feedback The results showed that the method can be applied in biology teaching. This can be seen from antusiasm and positive respons given by students. And through the application of active learning in the study of biology can enhance students’ learning motivation. This can be seen from accomplishment of motivation indicator after the application of active learning.
