Abstract

Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini bertujuan untuk mendukung pengembangan keterampilan siswa SMK IPTEK Tangerang Selatan melalui pelatihan pembuatan produk minuman berbahan dasar rumput laut. Program ini memperkenalkan rumput laut sebagai bahan bernilai tinggi yang kaya akan nutrisi dan dapat diolah menjadi produk minuman sehat dan menarik bagi konsumen modern. Pelatihan tidak hanya mengajarkan teknik pengolahan, tetapi juga memberikan pengetahuan tentang pengemasan produk, branding, dan pemasaran untuk memberikan pemahaman holistik kepada siswa tentang proses pembuatan produk dari tahap ide hingga siap dipasarkan. Program ini juga mendorong pengembangan keterampilan kewirausahaan siswa dengan pendekatan kreatif dalam menciptakan produk bernilai tambah yang dapat dikembangkan menjadi Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM). Melalui kegiatan ini, diharapkan siswa mampu mengoptimalkan pemanfaatan bahan lokal, mengeksplorasi inovasi produk lainnya, serta mempersiapkan diri untuk dunia kerja di sektor perhotelan. Dampak jangka panjang dari kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi positif bagi siswa, komunitas sekolah, serta membangun citra SMK sebagai institusi pendidikan yang menghasilkan lulusan kompeten, kreatif, dan siap bersaing di industri. / This Community Service Program (PkM) aims to support the development of skills among students of SMK IPTEK Tangerang Selatan through training in the production of beverages made from seaweed. The program introduces seaweed as a valuable ingredient, rich in nutrients, which can be processed into healthy and appealing beverages for modern consumers. The training not only teaches processing techniques but also provides knowledge about product packaging, branding, and marketing, offering students a holistic understanding of the product development process from concept to market readiness. The program also encourages the development of entrepreneurial skills among students, using a creative approach to create value-added products that can be developed into Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Through this activity, it is hoped that students will be able to optimize the use of local materials, explore other product innovations, and prepare themselves for the workforce in the hospitality sector. The long-term impact of this activity is expected to contribute positively to the students, the school community, and help build the image of SMK as an educational institution that produces competent, creative, and industry-ready graduates.
