Abstract
Inclusive education is essential for students with special needs, ensuring they receive education tailored to their individual profiles. To support these needs, specialized strategies and programs are required. One such program is the Individualized Education Plan (IEP), which is currently being implemented at XYZ school in Makassar. This study aims to assess the implementation of the IEP, and the challenges teachers face in carrying it out, determine the teachers' needs, and explore the role of transformational leadership in the program's execution. The research employs a qualitative approach with a case study design. Ten respondents from the inclusion team participated, including one leader, one counsellor, and eight homeroom and subject teachers. Data collection methods included interviews, observations, and document reviews, with data triangulation used to ensure validity. The findings revealed that teachers had limited knowledge of inclusive education, faced time constraints in exploring necessary accommodations, and experienced suboptimal cooperation from parents. School leaders played a key role in guiding the inclusion team to embrace change by offering motivation and inspirational leadership, reinforcing the school’s commitment to inclusive education, and facilitating professional development through internal training. / Pendidikan inklusi saat ini menjadi kebutuhan bagi siswa berkebutuhan khusus agar mereka mendapatkan pembelajaran sesuai dengan profil mereka. Untuk mendukung kebutuhan tersebut dibutuhkan penanganan dan program yang khusus. Salah satu programnya yaitu Program Pembelajaran Individu (PPI) yang dilakukan di sekolah XYZ Makassar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan PPI dan kesulitan yang dihadapi guru - guru dalam implementasinya, mengetahui kebutuhan guru, dan mengidentifikasi peran kepemimpinan transformasional dalam menerapakan program ini. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan jenis penelitiannya yaitu studi kasus. Penelitian ini melibatkan sepuluh responden yang tergabung dalam tim inklusi dan terdiri dari satu pimpinan, satu konselor, dan delapan guru wali kelas serta guru mata pelajaran. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, hasil pengamatan (observasi), dan studi dokumen. Keabsahan data dalam penelitian ini diuji dengan triangulasi data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru - guru masih memiliki pemahaman yang terbatas mengenai pendidikan inklusi, waktu yang kurang untuk mencari ide – ide terkait akomodasi yang perlu diberikan, serta kerjasama orangtua yang masih belum maksimal. Pemimpin sekolah menunjukkan peran yang penting untuk mengarahkan tim inklusi agar bisa memandang perubahan dengan positif dengan memberikan motivasi dan tuntunan yang inspiratif, serta mengingatkan visi sekolah terkait pendidikan inklusi, serta pelatihan internal melalui professional development.
