Abstract

Pendidikan Kristen merupakan pendidikan yang menerapkan prinsip prinsip Alkitab dalam pembelajarannya. Pendidikan Kristen meneladani Kristus sebagai guru segala guru. Namun, dalam prakteknya sulit untuk meneladani sifat Yesus dalam pendidikan karena natur manusia yang berdosa. Dalam pembelajaran, sering sekali ditemukan siswa yang tidak termotivasi untuk belajar. Dalam penelitian ini, penulis mencoba meneladani Kristus sebagai guru yang Maha Agung. Penulis menerapkan penggunaan media berbasis visual yaitu powerpoint untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa dalam pelajaran biologi. Metodologi penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam 3 siklus. Analisis data dilakukan dengan narasi deskriptif yang bersifat kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa siswa termotivasi belajar melalui penggunaan media powerpoint. Siswa lebih tertarik pada penggunaan media powerpoint karena penyajian pelajaran dapat lebih sistematis dan bersifat konkrit. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh melalui penelitian ini adalah media powerpoint dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa dan dapat mengembangkan variasi metode pengajaran guru. / Christian education is an education that applies the Biblical principles in its teaching. Christian education follows the example of Christ as the Master Teacher. However, in its practice, it is difficult to imitate Christ characters in education, because of the sinful nature of men. In teaching, it is too often found the students who are not motivated to study. In this research, the writer tried to imitate Christ, the Master Teacher. The writer applied the use of visual-based media which is PowerPoint to increase the students learning motivation in Biology. The methodology of research used is the Classroom Action Research which was done in three cycles. The analysis of data was done in narrative-descriptive style which is qualitative in nature. The result of the research shows that the students were motivated by the use of PowerPoint as the media. The students were more attracted to the use of PowerPoint as the media, because the delivery of teaching is more systematic and concrete. The conclusion drawn from this research is that the PowerPoint as the media can be used to increase the students learning motivation and can develop the variety of teachers teaching method.
