Penelitian ini membahas soal perlindungan hukum pemilik sertifikat elektronik akibat kesalahan peng-input-an database yang dilakukan oleh pejabat berwenang. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu: 1) untuk mengetahui perlindungan hukum terhadap pemilik sertifikat elektronik, dan 2) untuk mengetahui pihak yang bertanggung jawab saat terjadi kesalahan peng-input-an data sertifikat elektronik. Rumusan permasalahan yang diajukan pada penelitian ini yaitu: 1) bagaimana perlindungan hukum pemilik sertifikat elektronik akibat kesalahan peng-input-an database dan; 2) bagaimana pertanggung jawaban pejabat berwenang saat terjadi kesalahan penginput- an data sertifikat elektronik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode yuridis normatif yang menggunakan studi kepustakaan. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah : 1) Penelitian ini membahas perlindungan hukum bagi pemilik sertifikat elektronik akibat kesalahan peng-input-an database yang dikategorikan sebagai maladministrasi menurut Pasal 1 Angka 3 UU No. 37 Tahun 2008. Solusinya mencakup penguatan regulasi, penerapan SOP berbasis asas kepastian hukum dan kecermatan, serta edukasi masyarakat. Upaya hukum meliputi koreksi administrasi, pengaduan ke Ombudsman, keberatan administratif, dan gugatan perdata, dengan asas kepastian hukum dan kecermatan sebagai prinsip utama, dan 2) Kesalahan peng-input-an database sertifikat tanah elektronik oleh pejabat berwenang dapat menimbulkan kerugian materiil dan imateriil bagi pemilik sertifikat. Pertanggungjawabannya mencakup koreksi administratif, rekomendasi Ombudsman, sanksi administratif, serta ganti rugi materiil sesuai Pasal 1365 KUHPerdata. The objectives of this study are: 1) to determine the legal protection for electronic certificate owners and 2) to determine the party responsible when an error occurs in inputting electronic certificate data.
