Abstract
Learning poetry has not been an interesting session in Indonesian literature class, moreover as it supported by conservative teaching methods used in most of the schools in Indonesia. Meanwhile, students nowadays have been involving actively in Social Network Sites (SNSs) scope. Facebook, as one of the SNS that has successfully skyrocketed in Indonesia recently, is also the one where students mostly spend their time on. Thinking of both phenomenons, the writer considers of integrating Facebook into Indonesian literature class to know the influential factors and outcomes it shows in students’ learning experiences. The method used in this introductory study is a classroom action research, involving 35 students from Grade 10 level, with other 35 students from Grade 8 as the comparing population. Using participant observation technique, hybrid class combination, and cross-curricular learning design, at the end of the study, it shows that the participants could experience meaningful learning and demonstrate real-life evidences of Indonesian poetry appreciation.

Pembelajaran puisi belum menjadi sesi yang menarik dalam kelas sastra Indonesia, apalagi karena didukung oleh metode pengajaran konservatif yang diterapkan oleh sebagian besar sekolah di Indonesia. Sementara itu di sisi lain, pelajar kini terlibat secara aktif dalam ruang lingkup Situs Jaringan Sosial (SNSs). Facebook, sebagai salah satu SNS yang telah berhasil meroket di Indonesia baru-baru ini, juga merupakan tempat dimana siswa menghabiskan sebagian besar waktu mereka. Menanggapi kedua fenomena tersebut, penulis mendapatkan ide untuk mengintegrasikan Facebook ke dalam pembelajaran sastra Indonesia untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang berpengaruh dan hasil yang ditunjukkan dalam pengalaman belajar siswa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas, yang melibatkan 35 siswa dari Kelas 10, dengan 35 siswa lainnya dari Kelas 8 sebagai populasi pembanding. Dengan menggunakan teknik observasi partisipan, kombinasi kelas hibrida, dan desain pembelajaran lintas kurikuler, pada akhir studi, terlihat bahwa para peserta dapat mengalami pembelajaran yang bermakna dan menunjukkan bukti-bukti apresiasi yang nyata terhadap puisi Indonesia.
