Abstract
Berpikir kritis merupakan ekspresi pengalaman siswa dalam kegiatan pembelajaran. Tujuan berpikir kritis dalam penulisan ini adalah agar siswa memperoleh pengetahuan, pengalaman, dan pemahaman mengenai biologi dengan lebih baik. Dengan berpikir kritis, siswa akan tertantang untuk melihat lebih dalam pelajaran biologi sebagai kegiatan untuk menjalankan mandat Allah. Oleh karena itu, salah satu cara yang dapat dilakukan untuk mengembangkan berpikir kritis ini adalah dengan menggunakan strategi pembelajaran inkuiri. Strategi pembelajaran ini dilakukan dalam suatu penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang dilakukan dalam tiga siklus. Dalam setiap siklus akan ada penerapan strategi pembelajaran inkuiri. Pengembangan berpikir siswa dapat dilihat dari ketercapaian standar dan indikator berpikir kritis. Subjek penelitian dilakukan pada siswa kelas X di salah satu SMA swasta di Kabupaten Tulang Bawang, Lampung. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, diskusi dengan mentor, wawancara langsung, melihat daftar nilai dan penulisan jurnal refleksi harian. Berdasarkan ketercapaian standar dan indikator berpikir kritis ini diketehui bahwa penerapan strategi pembelajaran inkuiri dapat mengembangkan berpikir kritis siswa kelas X.

Critical thinking is an expression of learning experiences of students. Its aim in this writing is to enable students to gain knowledge, experience, and understanding of biology. By thinking critically, students will understand and apply biology as part of the great mandate of God. One way to develop this is by using inquiry-based learning strategy. This learning strategy is carried out through a series of class-action research cycles. There are three cycles applied, each implementing inquiry-based learning strategy. The development of student critical thinking is seen from the achievement of standards and indicators of critical thinking. Cycles are done to grade X students in a private high school in Tulang Bawang, Lampung. Data is collected by means of observation, discussion with mentors, live interviews, grade list and a daily reflection journal. Observing the standards and indicators of critical thinking that are achieved, it is concluded that the use of inquiry based learning strategy can develop students’ critical thinking.
