Abstract

Kompleksitas biologi yang diajarkan dengan strategi pembelajaran yang kurang sesuai menyebabkan rendahnya minat belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran biologi. Penelitian yang berjudul “Penggunaan Metode dan Media Pembelajaran Bervariasi untuk Meningkatkan Minat Belajar Siswa dalam Pembelajaran Biologi Kelas VIII” dilakukan untuk menjawab masalah di atas. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas model Kemmis dan Mc Taggart dan meliputi tiga siklus penelitian. Melalui instrumen penelitian berupa lesson plan, umpan balik mentor, jurnal refleksi dan, hasil wawancara siswa, hasil penilaian siswa, dan foto pembelajaran siswa dapat terlihat adanya indikator-indikator minat belajar siswa. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini berhasil menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan metode dan media pembelajaran bervariasi dapat meningkatkan minat belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran biologi kelas VIII. / The complexity of biology being taught that using unproper learning strategy causes low interest of the students in learning biology.This research which entitled “The Use of Learning Methods and Variative Media to Increase Grade VII Students’ Learning Interest in Biology” was held to answer the question above. The research method used is classroom action research based on Kemmis and Mc Taggart model, and it consisted of three cycles. Using research instrument, which are lesson plan, mentor feedback, reflection journal, interview findings, students’ scores, and students learning process photograph, it can be seen that there were indicators of students’ interest in learning. Thus, this research was successful to indicate that the use of learning methods and variative media can increase grade VII students’ learning interest in biology.
