Abstract
Penggunaan media pembelajaran dalam kegiatan belajar-mengajar dapat membantu guru dan murid dalam belajar. Media dapat membantu menjelaskan sesuatu yang dianggap rumit dan susah untuk dijelaskan, dapat menunjukkan peristiwa-peristiwa yang langka, dan dapat memaksimalkan waktu pembelajaran. Di jaman teknologi seperti sekarang ini, guru sangat mudah untuk mendapatkan media-media pembelajaran yang bagus dan dapat menunjang pembelajaran. Akan tetapi, penggunaan media haruslah disesuaikan dengan topik yang akan diajarkan. Penggunaan media audiovisual sangat membantu karena guru dapat memotivasi siswa dan siswa lebih mudah memahami apa yang diajarkan oleh guru. Media audiovisual juga dapat membantu siswa dalam belajar sesuai dengan cara siswa belajar, karena media audiovisual ditayangkan dengan menggunakan unsur visual dan audio. Hal diatas yang mendasari peneliti untuk melakukan penelitian ini, guna untuk mengetahui manfaat media audiovisual dalam meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap gerak pada tumbuhan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan umpan balik (feedback) mentor, jurnal refleksi, tanya jawab, dan evaluasi siswa. Laporan ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan analisis data deskriptif. Dari hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa penggunaan media audiovisual dalam pembelajaran biologi pokok bahasan gerak pada tumbuhan, dapat meningkatkan motivasi siswa dan akhirnya siswa memiliki keinginan untuk belajar sehingga siswa mampu memahami topik gerak pada tumbuhan dengan baik. Metodologi penelitian yang digunakan adalah metodologi penelitian Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart. Dimana terdapat empat komponen besar yaitu perencanaan, tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Peneliti menggunakan dua siklus dan dalam siklus tersebut peneliti menggunakan media dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar. Media yang digunakan adalah media asli hidup (karyawisata/fieldtrip) dan media audiovisual. Instrumen yang digunakan oleh peneliti adalah jurnal refleksi, umpan balik mentor (feedback) dan hasil evaluasi siswa. Dari intrumen berupa evaluasi siswa, peneliti menemukan bahwa pemahaman siswa meningkat. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari meningkatan nilai rata-rata siswa yang awalnya 47,91 meningkat menjadi 73,44.

The utilizing of media in teaching and learning activity can help teacher and student. Media can help to explain something that is difficult to be explained, can show the rare incident, and also can maximize learning time. In technology periods, teachers are very easy to have this good media that can support learning activity in class. But the utilizing of this media has to be fit with the topic. The using of this media is very helpful because teacher can motivate student so they can understand what teacher taught. Audio visual also help student in learning according to their learning style. This media is supported by two characteristics word, they are visual and audio. The explanation above is constituted of researcher to do this research, and to know the benefit of audiovisual is to improve students’ grasp about plants’ movement. The data collections consist of feedback from mentor, journal reflection, interview, and description. The result of this research is the utilizing of audiovisual media in learning biology on discussion of plant’s movement can improve students’ motivation so they are willing to understand through learning this topic. The research methodology used in this for this research is using Kemmis and Mc. Taggart methodology. There are four big components in it, which are planing, action, observasion and reflection. The researcher here is using two sicle and in it sicle the researcher is using a media in the teaching and learning activities. The media used is leaving media (fieldtrip) and an audiovisual. The instruments that are used by the researcher are reflection journal, feedback from mentor, and the students evaluation. From the students evalution intrument, the researcher has found out that students’ comprehension has increased. This can be seen from the general evaluation of students, which at the begining were 47.91 become 73.44.
