Abstract

Mengajar siswa autis bukanlah hal yang mudah karena keterbatasan mereka dalam belajar sehingga menghambat proses pembelajaran untuk anak itu sendiri. Minat belajar yang rendah juga menjadi salah satu masalah yang ada dalam diri anak autis. Untuk meningkatkan minat belajar maka diperlukan cara yang tepat agar mengatasi masalah. Upaya yang dilakukan oleh penulis adalah meningkatkan relasi yang baik antara penulis dan siswa autis. Penulisan ini dilakukan di salah satu SMP X di daerah Jawa Timur dengan jumlah siswa 40 orang terdiri dari gabungan dua kelas (1 anak autis). Metode yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Instrumen pengumpulan data yang dilakukan dengan menggunakan wawancara, portfolio (jurnal refleksi, umpan balik mentor), foto atau gambar, data yang ada kemudian diolah. Pengolahan data dilakukan dengan memberikan penjelasan secara deskriptif. Dari hasil yang dilihat bahwa relasi yang baik pada pembelajaran siswa autis SMP ‘X’ dapat meningkatkan minat belajar. Siswa terdorong untuk belajar dan mempersiapkan diri untuk belajar. / To teach autism students is not easy task, because of their limitations in learning that inhibit the learning process of the child. Low learning interest is also one of the existing problems within the authistic child. To increase their interest in learning it is necessary to learn the proper way to resolve the issue. Efforts made by the author are to increase a good relation between the author and the autism students. Research is done in one of the ‘X’ Junior High School students in the East Java with the number of students is 40 consisted from two classes combination (1 child with autism). The method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR). Instrument used to gather the data is done by using interview, portfolio (reflection jurnal, feedback from mentor), photos or pictures. Data processing is done by providing a descriptive explanation. From the result of the study it is shown that a good relationship in learning toward the autistic students in ‘X’ Junior High School can improve the learning interest. Student was encouraged to learn and to prepare themselves to learn.
