Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektivitas metode peer tutoring dalam mencapai tujuan pendidikan Kristen pada pelajaran akuntansi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Juli–November 2009 di kelas XI pada salah satu SMA Kristen di Jakarta Pusat, dengan jumlah siswa 29 orang. Desain penelitian merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan dua siklus. Analisa data menggunakan analisa kualitatif dengan instrumen penelitian (a) observasi, (b) wawancara dengan siswa dan guru pembimbing atau mentor; dicatat dalam lembar “feedback” (umpan balik), (c) jurnal refleksi, dan (d) feedback teacher educator. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode peer tutoring merupakan salah satu metode pembelajaran yang efektif untuk mencapai tujuan pendidikan Kristen pada pelajaran akuntansi kelas XI. Harapan penulis bahwa penelitian ini diharapkan bukan hanya dapat diterapkan pada pelajaran akuntansi saja, tetapi dapat berguna pula dalam telaah ilmu pengetahuan yang serumpun. / The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of peer tutoring methods in achieving the goals of Christian education in accounting class. The study was conducted in July-November 2009 in class XI in one of the Christian high school in central Jakarta, consisted of 29 students. The design of this research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) with two cycles. Analysis of the data was using qualitative analysis, used research instruments (a) observation, (b) interviews with students and a tutor or mentor; recorded in the feedback, (c) reflection journals, and (d) feedback from teacher educator. The results showed that the method of peer tutoring is an effective learning method to achieve one of the goals of Christian education at the grade XI in accounting class. Writer hopes that the study is expected not only to be applied in studing accountancy, but can be useful also in study of allied sciences.
