Abstract

Pelajaran Ekonomi sangat berhubungan dengan kehidupan murid sehari hari. Hal ini terlihat dari aktivitas ekonomi yang dilakukan. Di sisi lain, Tuhan juga menciptakan setiap siswa secara unik yang mempunyai gaya belajar masing masing. Kenyataan yang ada pada salah satu SMA Kristen Swasta di Tangerang ini menunjukkan pembelajaran Ekonomi belum didasari kedua hal tersebut sehingga pembelajarannya monoton dan pasif. Untuk itu, tujuan penelitian ini adalah meningkatkan keaktifan siswa kelas X dalam pembelajaran ekonomi melalui dua jenis metode tutor sebaya yaitu “setiap siswa dapat menjadi guru” dan “pemberian pelajaran antarsiswa”. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada siswa kelas X sebanyak 27 orang sebagai subjek penelitian di salah satu SMA Kristen Swasta di Tangerang dari pertengahan Bulan Juli sampai pertengahan Bulan Oktober. Metodologi penelitian yang dipakai adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam 2 siklus. Setiap siklus ada empat tahapan, yaitu perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Instumen penelitian yang dipakai antara lain, (a) lembar observasi berupa umpan balik dari mentor sebagai pengamat, (b) jurnal refleksi peneliti, dan (c) dokumentasi berupa video, foto-foto, dan rencana pembelajaran. Data tersebut dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kedua jenis metode tutor sebaya dapat meningkatkan keaktifan siswa kelas X dalam pembelajaran Ekonomi. Hasil penelitian diharapkan memberikan inspirasi untuk mencoba jenis tutor sebaya yang lain dan dalam mata pelajaran yang memungkinkan untuk diterapkan metode tutor sebaya. / Economic is very related with students’s daily life. It could seem of the activities that they have done. In other side, God also created every student as unique person that have differences in learning style. In reality of one private Christian Senior High School in Tangerang shows economic learning have not realized about the two things above so that occurs one-way and passive learning. Because of that, the aims of this research is to improve the activeness of tenth grade students by two kinds of peer tutoring that is “every students can be teacher” and “giving lesson by each other of students”. This research had been done at tenth grade that consist of twenty seven students as subject of the research, in one private Senior High Christian School from the middle of July until the middle of October. The method of the research is Classroom Action Research, which was conducted two cycles. There are four processes in every cycle, that are planning, action, observation, and reflection. The research instrument used to collected data consist of: (a) observation form from teacher mentor as observer, (b) reflection journal of researcher, and (c) documentation like photographs, videos, and lesson plan. Those of data are analisyzed descriptively. The result of the research shows that two kinds of peer tutoring can improve activeness of tenth grade students in economic lesson. This research result is wished can give some inspiration to try the other kinds of peer tutoring and in other lessons that peer teaching can be implemented.
