Abstract

Kelas yang kurang dikelola dengan baik dapat menimbulkan masalah-masalah disiplin. Untuk meningkatkan kedisiplinan siswa dapat dicapai melalui perbaikan manajemen kelas sehingga siswa belajar untuk mengontrol diri dan bertanggung jawab dalam tindakannya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kedisiplinan siswa kelas VII di salah satu sekolah Kristen di Tangerang melalui penerapan prosedur dalam manajemen kelas pada mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia. Metode penelitian yang dipilih adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang dilakukan selama bulan Juli - November 2009 terhadap 41 orang siswa di kelas VII. Selama penelitian, subyek diobservasi oleh peneliti yang juga berperan sebagai pengajar dan melaksanakan 3 siklus yang mencakup tahapan perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian dianalisis kemudian dituangkan dalam suatu deskriptif naratif. Dari hasil penelitian pada siklus ke-3 menunjukkan bahwa penerapan prosedur dalam manajemen kelas dapat meningkatkan kedisiplinan siswa. Hasil penelitian diharapkan tidak hanya mampu meningkatkan kedisiplinan siswa kelas VII dalam mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia, namun juga berguna dalam telaah ilmu pengetahuan lainnya. / Class that does not has quite management can affected dicipline problems. To improve student discipline can be achieved through improved classroom management so students learn to control themselves and be responsible in their actions. The purpose of this research is to improve discipline seventh grade students in one of the Christian private school in Tangerang through the application of classroom management procedures in the Indonesian subjects. Research method chosen was action research class (PTK) conducted in July - November 2009 to 41 students in the class VII. During the study subjects are observed by researchers who also serves as a lecturer and implement a 3 cycle includes the stages of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The results are analyzed and then poured in a descriptive narrative. From the results of research on the cycle-3 shows that the application of management procedures in the classroom can enhance student discipline. The results are expected not only to improve student discipline in the class VII Indonesian subjects, but also useful in other scientific studies.
