Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah memahami bagaimana musik dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran dan pengaruh metode penggunaan musik dalam meningkatkan minat belajar siswa kelas X pada pembelajaran matematika. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan dua siklus. Analisa data menggunakan analisa kualitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas X yang berjumlah 38 orang pada salah satu SMA swasta di Jakarta Pusat. Adapun instrumen penelitian yang digunakan yaitu observasi, jurnal refleksi, feedback mentor, dan feedback teacher educator. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa musik dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Hal ini terlihat dari pelaksanaan metode permainan musik di sela-sela pembelajaran yang dapat mendukung tercapainya tujuan pembelajaran secara keseluruhan. Serta melalui penggunaan metode permainan musik pada pembelajaran matematika ini, dapat meningkatkan minat belajar siswa. Hal ini terlihat dari keterlibatan siswa yang tenang dan aktif mengikuti proses pembelajaran. / The purpose of this research is to understand how music can be used in methods of learning and influence of the use of music in improving students’ learning interest on the class X mathematics learning. This research uses the design of Class Action Research (CAR) with two cycles. The data analysis using a qualitative analysis. Research subjects were students of class X numbered 38 people in one of Private High Schools in Central Jakarta. The research instruments used are observation, reflection journals, mentor feedback, and teacher educator feedback. The result of the research showed that music can be used in learning. This can be seen from the implementation of a method in playing music instrument on the sidelines of learning that can support the achievement of learning objectives as a whole as well as can enhance students learning interest. This can be seen from the quietly students’ involvement and active in following the learning process.
