Abstract
Inti dari sebuah pembelajaran yang efektif adalah semua murid dapat mengerti apa yang disampaikan oleh guru. Untuk mencapai sebuah pembelajaran yang efektif perlu ditinjau dari beberapa segi: pertama, kurikulum yaitu menyangkut Strategi Pembelajaran, Metode Pembelajaran, dan Pendekatan Pembelajaran. Kedua adalah sifat hakiki dari manusia yaitu sebagai makhluk rasional dan relasional. Selain kedua hal utama ini ada beberapa hal lain lagi yang harus diperhatikan yaitu tahap perkembangan dan psikologi siswa, termasuk kepribadiannya dan kecerdasannya dalam pembelajaran maupun relasi. Dari pertimbangan-pertimbangan di atas, peneliti melihat bahwa metode belajar kelompok adalah yang paling baik. Metode belajar kelompokpun ada bermacam-macam. Dilihat dari kecepatan belajar siswa, metode belajar kelompok bisa di bagi menjadi dua jenis yaitu menganggap bahwa kecepatan belajar setiap siswa sama (Metode Diskusi) dan menganggap bahwa kecepatan belajar setiap siswa berbeda (Kelompok Belajar Kooperatif). Siklus I, peneliti menggunakan metode diskusi dalam kelompok, mengingat hasil observasi bahwa hampir semua siswanya memiliki kecepatan belajar yang sama (Refleksi Rabu, 29 Juli 2009). Setelah mengimplementasikan di kelas, ternyata hasil observasi menyatakan hal yang berbeda karena tidak semua siswa aktif. Maka pada siklus kedua yaitu pada kelas XII IPA 2, peneliti menerapkan metode belajar kooperatif yang memandang bahwa setiap siswa memiliki kecepatan belajar yang berbeda-beda. Hasilnya sangat baik yaitu semua siswa mulai terlihat aktif baik itu yang menjelaskan maupun yang mendengarkan penjelasan. Kesimpulannya bahwa Metode Pembelajaran Kooperatif adalah yang tepat dan efektif dalam proses pembelajaran di kelas XII IPA.

The core of an effective learning is that all students can understand what the teachers deliver. To achieve an effective learning, several factors can be revised: the first is the curriculum regarding learning strategy, learning method, learning approach. The second thing is the essential nature of human as rasional dan relational beings. Besides two things above, there are several things that have to be taken cared of, such as student’s learning stage and psychological condition, the personalities and intelligences in learning and relating to others. Based on the several measurement above, the researcher can see that the best method was group learning method. There are varieties of group learning method such as discussion method and cooperative learning method that see the learning speed of the student. The discussion method sees that learning speed of every student is the same, while the cooperative learning method sees that each student has different learning speed. In the first cycle, the researcher used a discussion method of group learning, thinking that almost all of the student have the same learning speed (reflection jurnal, Wednesday, 29 Juli 2009). After applying the method, the observation result revealed a different expected outcome because not every student was being active. Thus, in the second cycle, that was done in IPA (Science) grade XII 2, the researcher applied the cooperative learning method, knowing that the students were different in their learning speed. The result proved that all students were beginning to be active in explaining and listening the lesson. The conclusion was that the cooperative learning was an appropriate and effective learning method in learning-teaching activities in the classroom.
