Abstract
Berdasarkan praobservasi diidentifikasi bahwa siswa tidak termotivasi di dalam belajar matematika dikarenakan emosi negatif yang ada di dalam diri siswa. Emosi ini timbul akibat tidak terciptanya suasana belajar yang menyenangkan. Metode yang digunakan oleh guru untuk mengajar di kelas melalui kegiatan yang dilakukan sangat mempengaruhi terciptanya suasana tersebut. Untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa tersebut diperlukan penelitian mengenai motivasi belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran kelas outdoor. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada siswa kelas VIII di suatu sekolah Kristen di Ambarawa dengan jumlah siswa 22 orang. Desain penelitian ini didasarkan pada metode penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Untuk pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan jurnal refleksi yang dibuat oleh penulis, feedback baik itu dari mentor dan teacher educator, serta dokumentasi yang diambil pada saat proses belajar mengajar berlangsung. Berdasarkan ketiga instrumen penelitian tersebut, dilakukan analisis berdasarkan teori-teori yang ada. Proses analisis ini menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Dari hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor-faktor yang ada di dalam pembelajaran kelas outdoor seperti penataan lokasi pembelajaran beserta kegiatan pembelajaran yang dilakukan dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa, secara khusus pada pelajaran matematika.

Based on praobservation, the students are identified not motivated to learn mathematics due to the fact that they have negative emotion inside their selves. Emotions are expressed by the consequence of uncomfortable learning environment. The method used by teachers during activity to teach in the classroom does affect such learning environment. In order to enhance the students; learning motivation, a research related to the students’ motivation in outdoor classroom learning is needed. The subjects of this research are eighth graders of a Christian school in Ambarawa which consist of 22 people. This research design is based on the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method proposed by Kemmis & Mc. Taggart through two cycles. The data collection technique is conducted journal reflection written by the researcher, feedback either from mentor and teacher educator, and documentation taken during the teaching learning process is occurring. In relation to the three research instrument, analysis is done based on the theories. The data is analyzed descriptively. Based on the result of the research, it can be proven that the factors in outdoor classroom learning such as the learning site setting and learning activity can improve students’ motivation, particularly in the learning Mathematics.
