Abstract

Anggapan siswa bahwa materi Fisika atau Matematika sulit telah mematahkan semangat dan motivasi untuk belajar Fisika atau Matematika. Agar motivasi dapat timbul, dipertahankan atau ditingkatkan, maka peran guru sebagai motivator dalam belajar mengajar di kelas selalu perlu untuk dilakukan dan dioptimalkan. Salah satu caranya adalah dengan penerapan metode latihan dengan reward point. Penelitian dilaksanakan di salah satu SMA “X” di Lampung Utara di kelas XI IPA semester I tahun ajaran 2009/2010 dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 25 orang. Metode penelitian yang dipakai adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Data yang dikumpulkan adalah data kualitatif. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan yaitu portofolio. Berdasarkan deskripsi hasil penelitian dan pembahasan, ternyata penerapan metode latihan dengan reward point dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar Fisika siswa dan terlibat aktif dalam pembelajaran. / Presumption students that physics or mathematics materials has been difficult to break the spirit and motivation to learn physics or mathematics. In order for motivation can arise, maintained or improved, then the teacher's role as a motivator in learning and teaching in the classroom is always necessary to be done and optimized. One way is by applying the method of exercise with reward points. Research conducted at one senior high school "X" in the North Lampung in grade XI science semester of 2009/2010 academic year with the number of students were 25 people. Research method used is Class-Action-Research (CAR). The data collected is qualitative data. Research instrument used is portfolio. Based on the description and discussion of research results, was the application of exercise methods with the rewards points can enhance students' motivation to learn physics and actively involved in learning.
