Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penggunaan metode bercerita dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa. Model penelitian yang digunakan ialah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas I yang berjumlah 16 anak dan dilakukan di sebuah Sekolah Dasar Kristen P, Jombang. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah observasi guru bidang studi Pendidikan Agama Kristen berupa feedback, jurnal refleksi dan lesson plan yang ditandatangani oleh guru bidang studi yang bersangkutan. Analisis hasil penelitian yang digunakan ialah secara deskripsi. Artinya, penjelasan terhadap analisis tersebut dapat dilihat melalui data-data yang diperoleh dari observasi guru bidang studi Pendidikan Agama Kristen dan jurnal refleksi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan metode cerita yang dilakukan dalam tiga cara, yaitu bercerita dengan menggunakan alat peraga, bercerita tanpa alat peraga atau peragaan diri sendiri, dan bercerita dengan melibatkan siswa mampu meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa yaitu motivasi ekstrinsik dalam pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Kristen.

The aim of this research is to know the use of storytelling method in increasing the learning motivation of student. The model of the research which is used was Penelitian Tindakan Kelas. The subject of the research was the grade 1 students in P, Jombang Christian primary school that has 16 students. The instrument that was used in the research was the observation of the Christian religion teacher using feedback, reflection journal and lesson plan which is signed by the teacher of the subject. The analysis of the research that was used is in description. Which means the explanation to the analysis can be seen, through the data that has been collected from the observation of the subject teacher and the reflection journal. The result of the research show that the use of storytelling method which has been done in three ways, which are: storytelling with visual aid, storytelling without visual aid or storytelling with body language, and storytelling which involve the students can improve the learning motivation of the students which is the extrinsic motivation in Christian religion subject.
