Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui konsep-konsep komunikasi yang dapat diterapkan di PT XXX Jakarta dan untuk mengevaluasi hasil implementasi budaya komunikasi hourensou di perusahaan tersebut. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan konsep komunikasi hourensou, yang mencakup houkoku, renraku dan soudan, memberikan hasil yang positif meskipun melalui proses adaptasi yang cukup panjang. Manajemen Jepang secara bertahap memperkenalkan konsep ini setelah mengamati budaya kerja yang ada, dan berhasil menciptakan sistem komunikasi yang lebih terstruktur dan efisien. Tantangan terbesar yang dihadapi adalah perbedaan budaya komunikasi antara Jepang yang lebih hierarkis dan Indonesia yang lebih mengutamakan musyawarah dan kerja sama. manajemen Jepang menunjukkan kesediaan untuk beradaptasi dengan mempelajari bahasa Indonesia dan memahami budaya lokal, serta melaksanakan pelatihan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran karyawan mengenai pentingnya komunikasi terbuka. Hourensou berhasil mempercepat penyelesaian masalah, meningkatkan kedisiplinan, dan menciptakan sinergi antar departemen, yang pada akhirnya berkontribusi pada peningkatan kinerja perusahaan. Penelitian ini menyarankan bahwa untuk meningkatkan aktifitas komunikasi, perlu dilakukan langkah-langkah strategis yang mengutamakan adaptasi budaya, keterbukaan, dan kolaborasi antar departemen. Penerapan prinsip hourensou yang disesuaikan dengan nilai budaya lokal Indonesia dan program Change Management yang efektif dapat mempercepat proses perubahan dan meningkatkan kinerja organisasi. / This study aims to determine the communication concepts that can be applied at PT XXX Jakarta and to evaluate the results of the implementation of Hourensou communication culture in the company. The approach used in this study is qualitative with data collection through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the Hourensou communication concept, which includes houkoku and renraku, provides positive results despite going through a fairly long adaptation process. Japanese management gradually introduced this concept after observing the existing work culture, and succeeded in creating a more structured and efficient communication system. The biggest challenge faced was the difference in communication culture between Japan which is more hierarchical and Indonesia which prioritizes deliberation and cooperation. Japanese management showed a willingness to adapt by learning Indonesian and understanding local culture, as well as conducting training to increase employee awareness of the importance of open communication. Hourensou managed to accelerate problem solving, improve discipline, and create synergy between departments, which ultimately contributed to improving company performance. This study suggests that to improve communication effectiveness, strategic steps need to be taken that prioritize cultural adaptation, openness, and collaboration between departments. The application of Hourensou's principles that are adjusted to local Indonesian cultural values and an effective Change Management program can accelerate the change process and improve organizational performance.
