Abstract
Trigonometric integrals are a concept in calculus that is often considered difficult for students. This study aims to evaluate user satisfaction in learning integrals through an educational game, specifically a 2D top-down shooter game that examines players abilities to answer questions about Integral.
The developed game, Integral Shooters, combines Calculus learning with game elements such as time challenges, a scoring system, and level progression. In this game, students solve integral problems by matching integral questions with their correct answers. The game was developed using Unity and evaluated through the Instructional Materials Motivation Survey (IMMS), focusing on the Satisfaction aspect of the ARCS model.
The survey's mean score of 3.37 indicates that students have a moderate level of satisfaction in using this game as a learning medium for trigonometric Integrals. This level of satisfaction is influenced by the implementation of educational game theories within the game, such as time-based challenges, a scoring system, and progressively increasing difficulty levels. / Integral trigonometri merupakan salah satu konsep dalam kalkulus yang sering kali dianggap sulit oleh mahasiswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi kepuasan pengguna dalam pembelajaran integral melalui pengembangan media pembelajaran berbasis game edukasi, yaitu game 2D top-down shooter yang menguji pengetahuan Integral pengguna.
Game yang dikembangkan, Integral Shooters, mengintegrasikan pembelajaran kalkulus dengan elemen permainan, seperti tantangan berbasis waktu, sistem skor, dan progresi level. Dalam permainan ini, mahasiswa menyelesaikan soal integral dengan cara mencocokkan pertanyaan integral dengan jawabannya. Game ini dikembangkan menggunakan Unity dan dievaluasi melalui survei Instructional Materials Motivation Survey (IMMS) dengan fokus pada aspek Satisfaction dari model ARCS.
Hasil mean survei 3.37, menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa memiliki tingkat kepuasan yang cukup puas dalam menggunakan game ini sebagai media pembelajaran Integral trigonometri. Level kepuasan ini dipengaruhi oleh teori game edukasi yang diterapkan dalam game, seperti tantangan berbasis waktu, sistem skor, dan tingkat kesulitan yang meningkat secara bertahap.
