Abstract

Literasi digital sangatlah penting, terutama bagi ana-anak yang tumbuh di era digital saat ini. Salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan literasi digital anak adalah melalui pembelajaran berbasis animasi yang informatif. Batik, sebagai warisan budaya tak benda yang sudah diakui, memiliki nilai budaya yang tinggi. Batik Pagi Sore merupakan Batik asal Pekalongan yang memiliki elemen flora, fauna, warna yang cerah serta isen-isen. Perancangan ini bertujuan untuk mengenalkan Budaya Indonesia kepada anak-anak usia 8-10 tahun terutama yang kecanduan bermain media digital khususnya bagi mereka yang kecanduan bermain media digital, serta mengedukasi mereka pentingnya memiliki keseimbangan antara aktivitas luar dan bermain media digital. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif dan kajian pustaka untuk mengetahui definisi dan perkembangan batik dan motif batik yang digemari anak-anak serta pendekatan perancangan desain untuk menghasilkan konsep visual bergaya motif Batik Pagi Sore untuk anak. Perancangan ini menghasilkan ilustrasi konsep visual yang mengangkat isu iPad kids serta mengintegrasikan motif Batik Pagi Sore ke dalam ilustrasi konsep visual karakter, lingkungan, hewan dan benda-benda yang berpeluang untuk meningkatkan literasi digital di Indonesia./ Digital literacy is crucial, especially for children who are growing amidst digitalisation era. A way to improve children’s digital literacy is through informative animation-based learning. Batik, as an intangible cultural heritage that has been recognized, holds high cultural value. Batik Pagi Sore is a type of Batik from Pekalongan that has features like flora, fauna, bright colors and isen-isen. This design research aims to introduce Indonesian culture for children aged 8-10, especially to those who are addicted to digital media, while also educating them on the importance of balancing outdoor activities as well as digital media use. This research uses a qualitative methods and literature review to understand the definition and development of batik and popular batik motifs among children, as well as design approaches to create visual concept illustration that addresses the issues of iPad kids while integrating Batik Pagi Sore motif into character, environment, creature, and props concept, with the potential to enhance digital literacy in Indonesia.
