Abstract

Latar belakang: Pada fakultas Kedokteran, mahasiswa dituntut untuk berpikir kritis, dengan faktor internal dan eksternal yang memengaruhi hasil belajar. Gaya belajar visual, auditori, dan kinestetik serta manajemen waktu berperan dalam efektivitas pembelajaran. Sistem pembelajaran berbasis blok yang padat menuntut mahasiswa untuk mengatur waktu dengan baik guna menghindari stres akademik. Beberapa penelitian menunjukkan hubungan antara gaya belajar dan efektivitas pembelajaran, namun masih terdapat perbedaan temuan hasil. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan penelitian lebih lanjut untuk memahami pengaruh gaya belajar dan manajemen waktu terhadap prestasi akademik mahasiswa kedokteran. Tujuan Penelitian: Mengetahui apakah ada hubungan antara gaya belajar dan manajemen waktu dengan nilai Indeks Prestasi Kumulatif (IPK) mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran. Metode Penelitian: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian analitik komperatif bertujuan untuk menemukan hubungan antar variabel. Metodenya menggunakan analisis data secara langsung (potong lintang) pada Mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Pelita Harapan yang memenuhi kriteria pada penelitian. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan mengisi kuesioner melalui google form yang diisi oleh responden. Hasil yang telah didapat akan diolah menggunakan uji statistik SPSS dengan metode Kruskal-Wallis dan Mann-Whitney. Hasil: Hasil dari sampel yang terkumpul, didapatkan hasil untuk gaya belajar dengan prestasi akademik mahasiswa mendapatkan p-value sebesar 0,45 dan untuk manajemen waktu dengan prestasi akademik mahasiswa mendapatkan p-value sebesar 0,12 yang berarti tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara gaya belajar dan manajemen waktu dengan prestasi akademik Mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Pelita Harapan. Kesimpulan: Tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara gaya belajar dan manajemen waktu dengan prestasi akademik Mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Pelita Harapan. / Background: In the Faculty of Medicine, students are required to think critically, with both internal and external factors influencing learning outcomes. Learning styles visual, auditory, and kinesthetic as well as time management play a crucial role in learning effectiveness. The intensive block-based learning system demands that students manage their time effectively to avoid academic stress. Several studies have explored the relationship between learning styles and learning effectiveness; however, findings remain inconsistent. Therefore, further research is needed to better understand the impact of learning styles and time management on the academic performance of medical students. Objective: To determine whether there is a relationship between learning styles and time management with the Grade Point Average (GPA) of medical students. Method: This study is a comparative analytical research aimed at identifying relationships between variables. The methodology employs a cross-sectional data analysis conducted on medical students at Universitas Pelita Harapan who meet the research criteria. Data collection is carried out through questionnaires distributed via Google Forms, completed by respondents. The collected data will be analyzed using SPSS statistical tests, specifically the Kruskal-Wallis and Mann-Whitney methods. Result: Based on the collected sample, the results indicate that the p-value for the relationship between learning styles and students' academic performance is 0.45, while the p-value for the relationship between time management and students' academic performance is 0.12. These values suggest that there is no significant relationship between learning styles and time management with the academic performance of medical students at Universitas Pelita Harapan. Conclusion: There is no significant relationship between learning styles and time management with the academic performance of medical students at Universitas Pelita Harapan.
