Abstract
Perancangan Interior Pusat Kuliner Roemah Toegoe merupakan sebuah
proyek yang dirancang dengan pendekatan naratif sebagai metode utama
penelitiannya. Pendekatan ini digunakan untuk menyampaikan cerita dan sejarah
budaya Krontjong Toegoe, terutama melalui kuliner khas Kampung Tugu, dalam
bentuk pengalaman ruang yang imersif dan edukatif. Konsep perancangan yang
diangkat adalah “Tropi Heritage”, yaitu konsep sejarah yang memadukan elemen
budaya tradisional dengan sentuhan desain tropis kontemporer. Konsep ini
menggabungkan estetika arsitektur Betawi masa lampau yang dimodernisasi agar
sesuai dengan perkembangan zaman dan teknologi, dengan campur tangan alam
yang memperkaya permainan volume ruang serta menciptakan pengalaman ruang
yang alami. Penggabungan antara unsur buatan dan alami yang berjalan seirama
dan harmonis diharapkan dapat membentuk perjalanan ruang yang tidak terlupakan
bagi pengunjung.
Tujuan dari perancangan ini adalah untuk menciptakan sebuah pusat
kuliner yang tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai tempat menyantap makanan khas, tetapi
juga sebagai ruang pelestarian budaya dan edukasi. Perancangan ini bertujuan
untuk melestarikan dan mempromosikan masakan serta camilan tradisional
Toegoe, sekaligus meningkatkan minat wisata kuliner di Kampung Tugu. Selain
itu,
proyek ini menghadirkan fasilitas workshop kuliner sebagai media
pengembangan keterampilan dan pengetahuan masyarakat serta upaya pelestarian
proses pembuatan masakan tradisional. Kehadiran taman yang dirancang secara
fungsional juga mendorong pengunjung untuk menghabiskan waktu lebih lama dan
menciptakan ruang interaksi sosial yang sehat. Desain interior dikembangkan
dengan memperhatikan aspek sensori dan partisipatif melalui penyediaan area
restoran, workshop memasak, dan Toegoe Landscaping sebagai bagian dari
keseluruhan narasi budaya. / The interior design of Roemah Toegoe Culinary Center is a project
developed using a narrative approach as its primary research method. This
approach is employed to convey the story and cultural history of Krontjong Toegoe,
particularly through the traditional cuisine of Kampung Tugu, in the form of an
immersive and educational spatial experience. The adopted design concept is
“Tropi Heritage,” a heritage-based theme that blends traditional cultural elements
with a touch of contemporary tropical design. This concept integrates the aesthetics
of historic Betawi architecture, modernized to align with current developments and
technologies, with the intervention of natural elements that enrich spatial volume
and create an organic spatial experience. The harmonious integration of man-made
and natural components is expected to shape an unforgettable spatial journey for
visitors.
The objective of this design is to create a culinary center that functions not
only as a place to enjoy traditional dishes but also as a cultural preservation and
educational space. The project aims to preserve and promote Toegoe’s traditional
dishes and snacks while enhancing the culinary tourism appeal of Kampung Tugu.
Additionally, the project features a culinary workshop facility as a platform for skill
development, community learning, and the preservation of traditional cooking
processes. The presence of a functionally designed garden also encourages visitors
to spend more time in the space and fosters healthy social interaction. The interior
design is developed with attention to sensory and participatory aspects through the
integration of restaurant areas, cooking workshops, and Toegoe Landscaping as
integral parts of the overall cultural narrative.
