Abstract

The relationship between employee competence, competence-job fit, job satisfaction, employee performance, and business performance is the main focus of this study. This research examines the interconnection between employee competence, competence-job fit, job satisfaction, employee performance, and business performance at PT Pegadaian Area Manado 1. Using a quantitative approach with the Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method, data were collected from 74 eligible respondents and analyzed to test the proposed hypotheses. The results indicate that employee competence and competence-job fit have a significant influence on job satisfaction, which subsequently contributes to increased employee performance. Furthermore, employee performance is proven to have a direct impact on the company's business performance These findings underscore the importance of developing employee competence and appropriate job placement to create a motivating and productive work environment. Practically, the company needs to formulate integrated human resource strategies focusing on enhancing competence and job satisfaction as key efforts to strengthen overall organizational performance / Hubungan antara kompetensi karyawan, kesesuaian kompetensi-pekerjaan, kepuasan kerja, kinerja karyawan, dan kinerja bisnis menjadi fokus utama dalam studi ini. Penelitian ini mengkaji keterkaitan antara kompetensi karyawan, kesesuaian kompetensi-pekerjaan, kepuasan kerja, kinerja karyawan, dan kinerja bisnis di PT Pegadaian Area Manado 1. Melalui pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM), data dikumpulkan dari 74 responden yang memenuhi kriteria dan diolah untuk menguji hipotesis yang diajukan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi karyawan dan kesesuaian kompetensi-pekerjaan memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja, yang kemudian berkontribusi pada peningkatan kinerja karyawan. Selanjutnya, kinerja karyawan terbukti berpengaruh langsung terhadap kinerja bisnis perusahaan. Temuan ini menekankan pentingnya pengembangan kompetensi karyawan dan penempatan posisi yang sesuai untuk menciptakan suasana kerja yang memotivasi dan produktif. Implikasi praktisnya, perusahaan perlu merumuskan strategi sumber daya manusia yang terintegrasi, berfokus pada peningkatan kompetensi dan kepuasan kerja sebagai upaya utama dalam memperkuat kinerja organisasi secara keseluruhan.
