Abstract

Case based learning merupakan salah satu metode pembelajaran berbasis kasus yang dirancang untuk meningkatkan kemampuan mahasiswa keperawatan dalam memecahkan suatu kasus. Oleh karena itu, mahasiswa diharapkan tidak hanya sekadar mengingat informasi atau teori yang telah dipelajari, tetapi juga dapat mengembangkan keterampilan berpikir kritis (critical thinking). Critical thinking adalah kemampuan dalam menentukan keputusan yang logis disertai dengan bukti yang valid. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui tingkat kepuasan dan peningkatan critical thinking mahasiswa keperawatan dalam penerapan case based learning. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain kuantitatif deskriptif. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa keperawatan angkatan tahun 2023 berjumlah 370 dan teknik pengambilan sample yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah purposive sampling dengan jumlah sampel 192 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian adalah kuesioner critical thinking yang diadopsi dari instrumen California Critical Thinking Disposition Inventory (CCTDI) dan kuesioner kepuasan dalam penerapan CBL. Dan telah dilakukan uji validitas dan reabilitas pada 30 responden. Analisis data pada penelitian ini adalah univariat. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa tingkat kepuasan mayoritas sebanyak 99 (51.6%) responden dalam kategori puas dan critical thinking mayoritas sebanyak 128 (66.7) responden dalam kategori tinggi. Disarankan bagi peneliti selanjutnya dapat menggunakan metode quasi eksperimen untuk mendapatkan gambaran yang lebih mendalam tentang hasil belajar, motivasi belajar, keterampilan klinis serta efektivitas case based learning.“/” Case based learning is one of the case-based learning methods designed to improve nursing students' ability to solve a case. Therefore, students are expected not only to remember information or theories that have been learned, but also to develop critical thinking skills. Critical thinking is the ability to determine logical decisions accompanied by valid evidence. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of satisfaction and improvement of critical thinking of nursing students in the application of case-based learning. This study used a descriptive quantitative design. The population in this study were standard class nursing students class of 2023 totaling 370 and the sampling technique used in this study was purposive sampling with a total sample of 192 people. The instruments used in the study were a critical thinking questionnaire adopted from the California Critical Thinking Disposition Inventory (CCTDI) instrument and a satisfaction questionnaire in the application of CBL. And validity and reliability tests have been carried out on 30 respondents. Data analysis in this study was univariate. The results showed that the majority satisfaction level was 99 (51.6%) respondents in the satisfied category and the majority critical thinking was 128 (66.7) respondents in the high category. It is suggested that future researchers can use quasi-experimental methods to get a more in-depth picture of learning outcomes, learning motivation, clinical skills and the effectiveness of case based learning.
