Abstract

Stres tergantung pada karakteristik responden dan faktor terkait HD yang berhubungan dengan stres/Background: Chronic renal failure (CKD) is one of the major health problems in the world that requires long-term hemodialysis (HD) treatment. There are still few scoping reviews that discuss stress comprehensively in patients with CKD undergoing HD. Research Objective: To analyze the stress of patients with CKD who are undergoing HD. Research Methods: The study used a scoping review by searching articles in five major databases, namely EBSCO, PubMed, OVID, Science Direct, and Google Scholar. Researchers will search using boolean operators “AND”, ‘OR’ and “NOT” with English keywords using the PICO method. The documentation of the article search is documented in a Prism Flow Diagram. The methodological quality of each article was tested using the JBI Critical Appraisal tool. Results: There were 14 articles selected from the 3,126 articles found. Results showed that CKD patients undergoing HD experienced the most moderate and severe stress as measured by HSS and PSS. Demographics were associated with stress levels and factors causing stress were fluid and dietary restrictions and pain. Conclusion: Stress levels in HD patients varied from moderate to severe with different instruments. Stress depends on respondents' characteristics and HD-related factors that are associated with stress.
